SUV from the past Isuzu Axiom
The Isuzu Axiom car, the official debut of which took place in the Detroit auto show in 2001, was created by the joint efforts of the designers of the companies Subaru and Isuzu in order to fully replace the Rodeo - an outdated moral model. The car inherited the chassis of its predecessor, which was characterized by its conservatism, which was done to make it cheaper. The body received a completely new design and was very popular at that time cut-faceted style. It had a lower height in terms of the frame, as well as a high waist line. The modern front bumper in a complex with narrow stylish headlights definitely gave novelty to the design of the model.
Despite this, external extravagance, together with conservatism in performance characteristics, did not allow Isuzu Axiom to become very popular - motorists' reviews testified to the positive impression of the unit only among the youth. The machine, in fact, was perceived only as an addition to the model Rodeo, which could not result in solid sales. In this regard, the release of Isuzu Axiom was constantly decreasing. In particular, during 2002, seven thousand copies of the car came off the assembly line, and in 2003 - five thousand.
It should be noted that the 2WD version had a rear-wheel drive, and 4WD - full. In the latter of them, depending on how the wheels roll, electronic distribution was made between the axes of torque, from 0x100 to 50x50. Due to the presence of a downshift in the box, the cross-country ability of Isuzu Axiom also improved.
