Strength, agility, endurance. Kinds of dexterity. Development of agility in children. Dexterity is ...

What does it mean to develop agility? This is, first of all, the ability at a certain moment to make the necessary motor movement - so quickly to prevent the commission of any action. In other words, these are the movements that help a person cope with any difficulties that arise in difficulty - coping quickly, clearly enough, and as correctly as possible. And, naturally, it is clear that this quality in a person needs to be developed from an early age.

Dexterity is it?

So, with the concept of agility, we have already decided. This is the force that helps us with the help of progressive movements to find a way out of the situation that has developed in a certain period of time. Any parent knows - that the child has grown strong and agile, you need to develop these qualities from a very young age. Strength, dexterity, endurance are the three determinants of the successful future of each growing individual.

Also, these qualities are developed in physical education classes first in kindergartens, and then in schools and higher educational institutions. The simplest are sports games, and afterwards - sports sections. It is indisputable that doing any kind of sport - be it football, basketball, athletics, wrestling, swimming - the development of dexterity and strength in the child will occur without fail.

Since early years

The development of agility in children - the process is not as simple as it seems at first glance. It is not right to think that a clever child can become if he is engaged exclusively in sports.

The development of agility is also promoted by acrobatic exercises - take, for example, a trampoline loved by all children. In addition to dexterity, coordination of movements is well developed on it . A great role is also played by statics, namely, the ability to permanently fix the body in various poses. A good example is yoga. In general, it is very important first to interest the child, gradually accustoming him to regular studies. It should be remembered that the reserve of motor skills should be periodically enriched, otherwise the ability to learn is drastically reduced. Today, there are several types of agility.

What is agility?

Types of dexterity are divided into four main types.

  • The first is total dexterity. It implies the ability to perform any new motor exercises.
  • The second is special dexterity. In other words, it is the ability to coordinate your movements while in a certain situation. Special dexterity is divided into two subspecies: acrobatic and hopping. Acrobatic is aimed at the ability to defend themselves during the game, to correctly make throws. Jumping involves the acquired skills, in which the child is able to control the body without any support. Very good, when you can combine both types of agility - it can be moving games, long jumps, height, depth, various exercises for equilibria or just juggling balls.

Listening to the physiologists

As the leading physiologists say (for example, Nikolai Aleksandrovich Bernshtein), dexterity is a motor resourcefulness that gradually develops into the mental. Also, physiologists have determined how a person should cope with an emerging situation - correctly, quickly, rationally, resourcefully. As Bernstein says, agility is directly related to the management function. And this means that the main role here is played by the nervous system. However, the physiologist does not call dexterity purely physical quality, such as strength, speed, or endurance. He is inclined to the fact that the physical and psychological aspects of this quality are approximately equal to each other.

Age - not a hindrance?

The natural development of agility (its peak) is at the senior preschool age. It is this period that is most favorable for the development of basic physical abilities. Of great importance are systematic studies using a variety of complexity exercises.

So, relying on all of the above, we can say with confidence that dexterity is a complex psychomotor ability, a kind of indicator of the formation of the motor experience. The specialists of physical education are sure that the more complex the movements and actions, the more perfect the dexterity itself. And how children react willingly when they get something done! Here there is a straight chain - diligence, result, joy of success, a desire to do even better.

Sports Agility

Agility sportsmen develops with the help of sports games. It can be basketball, shuttle run, handball, football and much more. Based on the studies of agility among athletes, its components were identified. This is, first of all, the coordination of consciously executed movements, as well as the speed of mastering the acquired skill and the speed of response to the signal produced. Developing dexterity is necessary for various reasons. It has already been proved that the more a child learns new types of movements, the better will be his psychological processes - thinking, memory, perception.

The presence of such abilities also has a beneficial effect on the general state - the expenditure of physical forces is considerably saved. At the same time, specialists emphasize the types of exercises.

The first are those in which the element of surprise is present and stereotyped movements are completely excluded, the latter are exercises aimed at high coordination, and third are special tasks aimed at sudden changes in direction, pace, and amplitude. In general, it is important to know that athletic dexterity is a hard work that should be preceded by easier exercises. Ideal for the initial stage is athletics - it is in this sport that all muscle groups are involved, and the load on them is made evenly and systematically. As the athletes themselves say, it is after the athletics that you can safely go to other sports.

And in conclusion

Dexterity is a unique human ability to react quickly and accurately to changes. As practice shows, for people with this quality, in life situations it turns out faster to find the right decision, to minimize all the negative sides. You can not become adroit for a few months, if years of inaction are left behind. You can not hope for more without making the appropriate effort. You can not burden yourself beyond measure, hoping that from this and the result will be much better. It takes patience - to gradually move from primary to easy pursuits to more complex and lengthy ones.

Only systematic work on oneself, both physical and psychological, will help not stand still, but move forward, easily accepting new blows of fate and giving them a worthy rebuff. Strength, dexterity and endurance are qualities inherent only in a strong spirit.
