Everyone knows a blue hedgehog named Sonic. Comics about him were created on the basis of the world famous game, invented by the order of the company SEGA. The developers of the holding tried to surpass the success of the popular arcade about Mario's superbights.

Comics and games

After the release of the game, which won the mass consumer, Sega AM8 became known as the Sonic Team. The developer and creator of the gameplay, Yuji Naka, quarreled with the leadership of the manufacturer due to its policy in the game console market and moved to the US. In the Sega Technical Institute, the subsequent parts of the game were released and comic books based on this arcade were released. Thanks to the joint work of Ian Flynn with artists Ben Bates, Jamal Peppers, Steven Butler, Matt Hermes and Tracy Yardley, the first comics about Sonic were published at the Archie Comics studio. Soon the adventure story of the brave hedgehog became very popular.

Readers demanded continuation of issues. In 2006, along with the talented writer Tanya Del Rio, who was also an artist, Ian Flynn continued to compose new comic books.

Development of history

Brave super-hedgehog Sonic, comics about which became very popular among readers, acquired new tasks in each version of the game. Fans of anime and young players were waiting for the continuation of the stories. Comics Sonic the Hedgehog - so correctly called a series of comic books about Sonic every year - began to be issued regularly. The authors came up with the latest adventure stories of friends. In 2008, the work of Ian Flynn and his team won an honorary place in the Guinness Book of Records as the longest comic book based game.

The plot of comics

In the title role - Sonic. This is a super-hedgehog, which has a rare ability of high-speed movement while folding into a ball. Initially, Sonic was alone. But as the computer game develops and in the process of adventure, the main character finds new friends. According to the story, the hedgehog and the company are a group of fighters for freedom from the tyranny of Dr. Robotnik. In games and comics, Sonic rescues from captivity the animals that a bloodthirsty doctor has caught in order to construct robotic monsters. The fanatical and spiteful Ivo Robotnik (he was given the nickname - Doctor Eggman) meets as the final test in every series of the game "Sonic". Comics portray Eggman as a cunning and insidious villain. According to many critics and users on gaming sites, Dr. Robotnik is the most insidious and ruthless negative hero.

In history, Sonic's friends appear: echidna Knuckles, fox Tails, hedgehog Amy Rose, who is in love with the protagonist, and the rabbit Krim. Each of the comic characters has super abilities.

• Echidna Knuckles. Zverek is able to soar in the air, break walls and bury himself in the ground, and also to swim. On the hands of Knuckles, there are enlarged knuckles, similar to brass knuckles, thanks to which he received this nickname. By nature, he is smart, honest and stubborn. With its seriousness, Knuckles is different from the merry, reckless Sonic. It is believed that Knuckles - the strongest character comics. Zverek became friends with Sonic in 1994 and has since been a regular hero, decorating the stories of the blue eve.

• Fox Miles "Tails" Pwayer. Tails is a nickname, which translates as "tailed". Surname Plower is a game of words and means in translation into Russian - "miles per hour". The Fox has two tails and is very good at flying. The absolute hero and role model in the eyes of Miles is Sonic. Comics show Miles as a fanatically devoted friend.
• Amy Rose is a nice hedgehog with pink hair. She is in love with Sonic and calls himself his girlfriend. Weapons Amy Rose - a huge hammer. New Comics

Since September 2005, comics "Sonic X" have appeared in circulation. After Sonic tried to take Egman's emeralds from the Chaos emeralds, as a result of the unsuccessful attack, the secret technology of the Eggman was activated, and the whole company found itself on Earth, and on the planet parallel to the usual world.

Originally planned to release 4 series based on the American anime "Sonic X", but the comic fans with their requests and positive feedback on the continuation contributed to the release of subsequent series.

Much has been changed in the translation from Japanese into the anime "Sonic". Comics in Russian were adapted, according to the interests and preferences of the domestic public.
