Superfight Sinister ("Marvel")
If there is a clever, cruel, strong and tenacious character among the villains of the comics, then this is Mr. Sinister. "Marvel" is a comic that was once invented by Mark Silvestri and Chris Clairmont. He is not only one of the most evil enemies of the "X-Men", but also the right hand of the powerful mutant Apocalypse.
early years
Nathaniel Essex (Sinister) was born in England. He lost his parents very early, and the boy had to inherit the immense wealth of his aristocratic family. Hard soil underfoot allowed the young man to do what he loved. After all, he had long been fond of genetics and put experiments on animals and people.
Loss
Time passes, and before him again there is an opportunity, which he so dreamed of. He is found by the Apocalypse - one of the oldest and most powerful characters in the Marvel universe. He very much supports the aspirations of Essex, therefore he makes him his assistant, and afterwards he takes to the secret community of mutants - Hellfire Club. True, before this the Sinister tried to commit suicide. "Marvel" (a series of comic books) describes how it happened.
The fact is that Nathaniel Essex was not always alone. He had a wife and son, but the child died at the age of two. The geneticist decided to exhume his corpse and try to bring it back to life, but Rebecca forbade him to do this. It's clear that she did not like the fact that her husband conducts experiments on crossing animals and people.
Cardinal changes
An ancient mutant immediately made Essex two priceless gifts - awarded him eternal youth and immortality. And he remembered the last words of his wife and chose a nickname - Sinister ("Marvel"). Photo of a mad scientist can be seen below.
First results
For many years, Sinister spent his genetic research, and soon realized one simple truth - a superman can come from a union of two mutants. The first attempt he decided to entrust to Scott Summers (Cyclops) and Gina Gray (Telepath). To conduct the experiment, he placed them in a shelter, and when the girl nearly died, made her clone, which was called Madeleine Prairie. They had a son with Cyclops, whom Sinister was going to use to destroy the Apocalypse. For this he sent him to the future and gave the nickname Cable.
In the end, his constant attempts to create a superman attracted the attention of the X-Men, which later included Cyclops and Telepathic. But the evil genius has already assembled his own team, which he called "Marauders". Many times after this, conflicts arose between them, but completely good mutants could not get rid of it.
Sinister ("Marvel"): abilities
Sinister is considered one of the strongest negative characters, because he has several useful skills:
- Immortality.
- Instant regeneration. The healing of his body is much faster than that of an ordinary person. And he is able to recover after any damage - gunshot wounds and numerous punctures, and his broken bones grow together in a matter of seconds.
- Molecular control. Thanks to this technique, Mr. Sinister ("Marvel") is able to control every molecule of his body. It can change the appearance and size, and can, for example, transform into a liquid mass.
- Endurance. It can for a long time fight at full strength before it gets tired.
- Force. Able to lift a huge weight equal to several tons.
- Telepathy. He has the ability not only to read thoughts, but also to inspire his own.
- The challenge of paralysis. Sinister is capable of leading to a victim of mental or physical paralysis.
- Control of the mind. Using this technique, he is able to control his enemies.
- Mental protection. Sinister is resistant to telepathic attacks. By the way, it's better not to go into his head at all, because there is clearly not all good.
- Telekinesis. He can manipulate objects, and quite heavy, as well as his own body, which makes it possible to fly at a very high speed.
- The rays of death. Can release energy from the hands.
Ultimate Sinister
In the alternative universe, there was also a character like Sinister ("Marvel"). The comic book hero is present there as a scientist from the Norman Osborn corporation. Nathaniel Essex looked like a bodybuilder. His body was almost completely covered with tattoos, and on his forearm the word "Sinister" was knocked out, hence the nickname.
After the murder of several superhumans, they begin to pursue failure. Essex penetrates the school of the X-Men, but he is caught and sent to a high-tech complex - Trixelion. There he again begins to see the Apocalypse, which orders him to strangle himself, and he even made several attempts. True, inconclusive.
Transformation into the Apocalypse
So, he did not manage to kill himself, but he was able to stage a death, and when he left Trixelion, he went to finish the mutants. Fortunately, he manages to find a shelter for the Morlocks, led by the Night Serpent. He enters with them into battle, but suddenly the X-Men appear, which repulse Essex. Although by that time Sinister had already managed to kill the right amount of mutants. Therefore, he teleports to the city, where he becomes the Apocalypse.
In animated series and in films
It occurs in the animated series "Wolverine and the X-Men" such a character as Sinister ("Marvel" is not the only work where it can be found). There he confronts the mutants of Professor Xavier, who eventually dispelled him to the wind. But he still survived.
In the animated series "X-Men" he again was their opponent. Essex appeared in several episodes. First he works on creating superhumans, using for this Gene Gray and Scott Summers, until Cyclops destroys his plans.
Then, all for the same purpose, he kidnaps Magneto and all the mutants of Professor Xavier, but again fails. True, this time does not die.
After that, he fought mutants in the future, was an assistant to the Apocalypse, managed to spoil the wedding of Summers and Gray and tried to steal a psychic, for which they looked after Gambit and Groza.
Only in the films did a brilliant villain flicker only a couple of times. In the movie "X-Men 2" you can see it on a computer file, based on Stryker. And in the work of "X-Men: Apocalypse," he appears at the very end to take a test tube with Wolverine's blood.
