The Latin name is Synaflanum.

Dosage forms. The substance of synaflan is an artificial analogue of the hormones of the adrenal cortex. It is available in the form of a limiter or ointment. Ointment is dense, has a yellowish tinge.

Composition. Contains glucocorticoid hormones. The active substance - fluocinolone acetonide - 25 mg per 100 g of product. Excipients - ceresin, lanolin, 1.2 propylene glycol, medical petroleum jelly.

Healing properties. This drug has anti-allergic, anti-inflammatory and antipruritic, anti-edematous effect. With the use of the ointment, the manifestations of various inflammatory reactions on the skin surface decrease.

- Various inflammatory, including allergic, skin diseases , manifested by itching, swelling, irritation.

- Seborrheic dermatitis, neurodermatitis (allergic disease), various eczematous lesions, lupus, scleroderma, psoriasis.

- Itching, redness of the skin after bites of various insects.

- Consequences of light burns, including sunburn.

- Various forms of skin disease, which are accompanied by dryness, irritation of redness, itching.

Important: Synaflan is not used for skin diseases caused by microbes, and also associated with infections.

Ointment is applied externally, is applied to the affected areas of the skin. Beforehand, they are recommended to be treated with any disinfectant solution. A small amount of the drug should be easily rubbed into the skin two to four times a day. Depending on the result, the course of treatment lasts from five to ten days, the maximum period of permanent use is twenty-five days. To enhance the effect, it is permissible for a small area of the skin to make gauze bandages with ointment.

Sinaflane is not recommended to be used constantly, because, due to the fact that it contains hormones, it is possible to thinning the skin, disrupting the production of collagen, reducing local immunity. This leads to a deterioration of the skin. If after the passed course symptoms - itching, irritation, redness - do not go away, you need to see a doctor to clarify the cause.

Individual intolerance of the components of the drug, hypersensitivity, various infectious diseases of the skin. In viral, microbial, fungal infections, the drug should be used together with other agents that suppress the activity of the causative agent of the infection.

Sinaphlane is not recommended for open wounds or skin lesions with ulcerative lesions.

The drug is strictly contraindicated for skin tuberculosis, as well as for skin manifestations of syphilis.

Hormones contained in the ointment can enhance the growth of tumors, so it is not recommended to use it if there is such a problem.

Also contraindications are:

- Pregnancy and lactation - the drug is quickly absorbed into the blood, then getting into the milk.

Trophic ulcers on legs.

- Children under one year old.

With acne, pink or regular acne, the use of the drug may cause an exacerbation.

Do not use synaplan from acne caused by infectious, microbial skin diseases.

Ointment "Sinaflan" for children with sweets is not recommended. If possible, it should be limited to one-time use.
