The "Commissioner" Group and its creative path

In the early 90's a new collective was created in the music environment - the "Commissioner" group. Several people participated in its creation. One of them was the famous then in show business poet Valery Sokolov. He will be the author of six songs from the band's first album and the permanent producer of this group. Leonid Velichkovsky became a composer of "commissars", he previously acted as a keyboard player in the group "Technology". Also included was Alexei Shchukin, it was then the famous DJ of the largest Moscow disco "Class". The arranger was Vadim Volodin, he was the very first album of the band.

The "Commissar" group - you will agree, the name is rather brutal. A kind of political worker in a leather jacket immediately appears before his eyes, who achieves everything with his own labor, not hoping for outside help. It should be noted that this is the principle of work that the participants of this collective chose for themselves. They did not do their own PR and did not use cheap tricks in promotion. The policy of the guys is unequivocal - they should like people only with their creativity. And they succeeded. The group "Commissioner" managed to make a statement about herself, not having any albums in her assets. The organizers of the concerts were happy to invite them, knowing that the sold-out will be guaranteed. And, in principle, at that time there was only one super-song of the band "The Commissioner" - "You Will Go," and to this day it is the visiting card of the team.

In the beginning of 1991 the band performed at all festivals, major concerts and hit parades. In the summer of the same year, the long-awaited recording of the first album appeared, it was called "Our time has come." The team travels all over Russia with solo performances. In September they are invited to the festival "Star Rain", which is broadcast on the RTR channel, and they are successfully leading the first round. And in October they receive the "Ovation" award.

The period from 1991 to 1993 became truly stellar for the team "Commissioner." The group, whose photo was in all the magazines, on calendars and posters, was engaged in endless tours, audio cassettes with their records were dispersed in huge editions. They became students at festivals "Golden Key" and "Star Rain", laureates at the festival "Sound Track". But the next two years became a period of recession and creative crisis. Sales and the number of concerts declined noticeably, and only by the end of 1997 they had the first messenger of a new success - it was a song called "What are you ...". Following her, another song breaks out - "Trash", it is she who heads the new album, released in 1998. It was an undeniable success! The "Commissioner" again participates in all the charts. She got a second wind thanks to the author of these two songs - the poet and composer S. Kuznetsov. And a considerable share of the success belonged to the new arranger A. Kirpichnikov, with his help the band got a new sound.

Encouraged by the successful results, the guys in 2000 release the next album called "Commissioner-2000", or "Music of the New Millennium". This album is in the lead in the MC and CD market. 2002 was marked by the conclusion of a contract with the record label "ARS" and the release of the numbered album "Love is poison". For the song of the same name, their first video is filmed, directed by Sergei Bondarchuk. Some time the clip is actively scrolled on central TV channels, but then the PR company stops, and the group, paying off the money invested in the promotion, contracts with the ARS company. The musicians go back to free swimming.

Since 2003 the band has been engaged only in tours, and from time to time new songs are released from them. Then they begin cooperation with the company "Monolith", which turned out to be quite productive. A collection entitled "Not Pirate" was released, the first album of the MP-3 "The Commissioner-2010 Group", which included all the most famous songs for the band's twenty-year activities. Then came out another album - "Romance-2010", which includes both old and new songs of the band "Commissioner."
