'Panthenol' - cream for home medicine chest and ladies' cosmetic bag

Summer, beach and sunburn are bound in my mind inseparably. Even if there is a huge selection of tanning agents in stores, this trouble happens periodically. Looking ahead, I want to say that to alleviate the pain and early healing of the skin, we, the whole family, have long used "Panthenol", a cream from the domestic manufacturer - Nizhpharm. And more recently, I discovered new facets of this unique product, which I want to tell my readers about.

Once, having run into the pharmacy to replenish the supplies of medicines, I did not find there my favorite product. I must say that the cream "Pantenol Ratiofarm" from the German manufacturer, cost five times more expensive, so it was decided to save. An amiable pharmacist, after learning about my problem, suggested that I get instead of a cream foam "Panthenol" from "Farmon", because it also includes the active substance dexpanthenol.

Arriving home, I decided to study the composition and the instruction in more detail. It turned out that the product is suitable not only for medical purposes, but also for daily skin care of the face and body. Indications for use: burns, including sun, cuts, abrasions, dryness and irritation.

Frankly, for a long time I struggle with my sensitive skin, which ungratefully reacts to anti-aging creams. By the way, I did not find any means to combat this scourge. Nothing helped. Neither inside nor outward. Therefore, I took note of the promises of the producers of "Pantenol". After that, my interest in creams and ointments containing dexpanthenol increased. I decided to figure out how they differ from each other and how they can be used.

Let's start with the popular product "Pantenol ratiofarm." Ointment contains at least 5% of the active substance. Basis - Vaseline white, distilled water and dexpanthenol. In addition, the preparation includes citric acid, potassium sorbate, woolen wax. The composition is given for ointment manufactured in Germany.

And now let's see what the "Panthenol" cream is. The content of the active substance remains the same. But the basis is composed of various oils: bisabolol (chamomile), African shea, sea buckthorn. In addition, the composition of the cream includes biolin - a prebiotic, which stimulates the protective mechanisms of the skin.

Of course, the composition of the cream varies depending on the manufacturer. But even with a superficial analysis, it becomes clear that the ointment is more viscous and oily in consistency. It is absorbed worse than the cream, so it is hardly suitable for everyday use. Moreover, it is undesirable to use it for the face skin or large body surface. Vaseline clogs the pores, and the appearance of acne can well cause.

In our family, the ointment "Pantenol", the son was tested for the treatment of herpes. Of course, it was not possible to get rid of the infection itself, but the sores healed quickly enough. By the way, it was ointment that helped, "Panthenol" cream did not give such results.

The composition of the foam, in addition to the active substance, includes extracts of calendula, chamomile, comfrey. They relieve itching, redness, irritation, soften the skin, promote its early regeneration. The light consistency is quickly absorbed and does not leave a greasy shine, so foam can be used to care for sensitive skin in winter or summer.

Spray "Pantenol", as you understand, is basically only water and active substance. Used for the same purpose as ointment and cream. Keep in mind that for wetting wounds, including for thermal and sunburn, the spray is more suitable.

When I began to collect information on the topic "Panthenol", reviews of the drug, too, did not pass by. And I found out for myself a lot of interesting things. Personally, I have never paid attention to the fact that many products for hair care contain panthenol. Now my spray "Pantenol" has one more application. I add it to the hair mask. By the way, the effect is stunning. The hair is shiny, smooth and does not split at all.
