One of the youngest institutions of higher education in the Novosibirsk region is the Siberian Institute of Management (SIU). The Siberian Institute of Management consists of 5 faculties:

Faculty of Law

In the 1990s, the Novosibirsk region, like the whole country, needed competent lawyers. The lack of highly professional staff was an actual problem at that time. With a view to solving it, the Siberian Institute of Management began to prepare lawyers in 1998. Later the university created a specialized faculty. This event dates back to 2003.

At the Faculty of Law, which is currently functioning, applicants are offered bachelor's degree in "Jurisprudence". At this stage of higher education, it is assumed that basic knowledge will be obtained that will allow them to work in different structures, ranging from municipal and state ones to commercial ones. But at a specialty in the Siberian Institute of Management, lawyers are trained on a specific profile that determines the future activities after graduation is "Legal Maintenance of National Security".

Faculty of State and Municipal Management

Training of specialists in the SIU in the direction of "Municipal and public administration" started in 1991. It is this moment that is considered the beginning of the history of the Faculty of the same name. During the years of its existence, the structural division had a lot of competitive advantages:

Faculty of Finance and Economics

The Department of Finance and Economics is a fairly large structural subdivision in the SIU RASHiGS. On it the entrants are offered a wide choice of directions of preparation on the bachelor's degree connected with economy, the finance, management. There is also one specialty - "Economic Security".

The Faculty of Finance and Economics is no less popular than other structural divisions. Applicants are attracted by the fact that at this faculty all programs are practical-oriented, which means that the main attention is paid to providing students with opportunities in obtaining actual practical knowledge. The faculty has established links with municipal, state and business structures, in which students are allowed to practice.

Faculty of Politics and International Relations

This faculty in the organizational structure of the university is the youngest. It appeared in 2013. Only 2 educational programs are realized at the faculty: "Public Relations and Advertising" and "International Relations".

The doors of this structural unit are open to young, purposeful, talented and responsible personalities. Such people are necessary for the faculty, because it is not easy to study here. The curriculum includes the study of several dozen disciplines - humanitarian, political, economic sciences. On "International Relations" foreign languages are additionally studied.

Faculty of Distance and Distance Learning

The Siberian Institute of Management (Novosibirsk) has a faculty where distance learning is realized. Its essence lies in the independent work of students with educational materials, presented in electronic form on a specially created portal. Communication with teachers is carried out through the Internet. For students who chose distance learning, electronic consultations and seminars are held.

Students of the Siberian Institute of Management study in each semester the study materials on municipal and state management, management, personnel management, economics, jurisprudence (in paper and electronic form), perform coursework and tests and bring them to the teacher for verification.
