Shish kebabs on skewers in the oven

Children are a capricious people, and it is very often difficult to get a child to eat, especially when the baby is 2 to 5 years old. So I did not stay aside: I have to fight with my son. And I still want to feed the child, so I decided to start cooking unusual and tasty dishes for him, so that the child was interested in eating. The first thing that came to mind is shish kebabs on skewers in the oven. This dish not only looks original, but it also tastes good. Consider one of the recipes for the youngest.

1) Chicken shashlik with vegetables. The recipe is not complicated, the only thing is that we have to wait until the chicken is marinated. So, in order to cook shish kebabs in the oven, we will need:

  • Chicken fillet or chicken 300 grams (since we are preparing a children's shish kebab, it is better to use chilled meat, but not frozen);
  • A glass of kefir low-fat for marinade;
  • Young zucchini 1 piece;
  • Fresh tomatoes 6 pieces (cherry);
  • Onion and clove of garlic;
  • Olive oil for vegetables;
  • Salt and fresh herbs.

The specified quantity of products is calculated on 3 skewers - accordingly 3 portions. To begin with, cut the fillets into small pieces, put them in a saucepan, salt, pour kefir, mix and add chopped onions with garlic, mix again. We remove the shish kebab in the refrigerator for 3 hours, so that the meat is soaked with the marinade. Use vinegar when cooking food for children is not recommended, since it can cause indigestion. Kefir in this case is an ideal option.

When the chicken fillet is ready, it is necessary to prepare the vegetables. Young zucchini thoroughly rinse, cut into rings. Cherry, too, rinse, do not need to cut. Place the vegetables in a deep plate, cover with olive oil, sprinkle a little salt and let stand for 10 minutes. While the vegetables are marinated, prepare the skewers. That they are not burned in the oven, they need to soak in cold water for 10 minutes. When everything is ready, thread all the ingredients on the skewers: young zucchini - meat - cherry - meat - zucchini - meat - cherry - meat - zucchini. Bake in the oven for no more than 30 minutes so that the meat does not burn. Such skewers on skewers in the oven can be served with rice, mashed potatoes; My little son is weaving with oatmeal.

Of course, instead of a chicken, you can use any meat, for example rabbit meat or even fish. And in that, and in this case the dishes will turn out to be incredibly tender and juicy.

2) Pork with lemon on skewers. In general, originally shish kebab was prepared only from mutton, it is considered an oriental dish. Now the shish kebab is prepared from any meat in combination with all sorts of vegetables and spices. For a shish kebab from pork we will need:

  • 500 grams of low-fat pork;
  • One fresh lemon;
  • Mayonnaise 2 tablespoons;
  • Mustard ½ teaspoon;
  • Onion 1 head;
  • Salt and greens.

The recipe is for 4 servings. To begin with, cut the pork into medium pieces, put it in a container, salt it. Prepare the marinade: mix mayonnaise, mustard and finely chopped greens and onions. Note that we do not use vinegar, it turns out the juice from the meat, so if you use vinegar, the meat will turn out to be hard and dry. Pork and marinade combine, mix well and refrigerate for 2 hours. When the meat is ready, thread it on the pre-soaked skewers, alternating with lemon ringlets. Bake in the oven for 40-50 minutes. Shish kebabs on skewers in a pork oven are juicy, tasty and not sharp. This dish can be served with any garnish and without it.
