Setting up and optimizing Windows 10: programs, instructions

Probably, it is not necessary to explain that any Windows system has such a huge amount of unnecessary components running in the background that braking can manifest itself in a most nontrivial way. And the "ten" in this sense is not an exception, although the developers say the opposite. Let's look at how customization and optimization of Windows 10 is performed using standard methods and third-party software.

Superfluous functions and services

If you look at a clean system even after the initial installation, you can find quite a few components and services that run in the background, consuming an incredible amount of system resources. But in fact, by and large, an ordinary user, many of them just do not need.

Well, for example, why should the Hyper-V module be enabled if the virtual machine is not supposed to be used initially? Why do I need printer services if there is no printing device? Why do you need an assistant Cortana in the original assembly? This is not all that is not required in the work, but only overloads the processor, operational and virtual memory.

In addition, like any other version of Windows, the "dozen" also gets garbage over time and slows down quite a bit in its work. Of course, the factory settings that were applied to the system during the initial installation, in a sense, can make the system run more efficiently. But they also contain a huge number of additional modules, which should be turned off.

Managing startup items and system components

It is believed that one of the universal ways to free system resources is to disable services that start with the system itself. To access, use the msconfig command, entered in the "Run" menu field, called either via the standard "Start" button (with any variations), or, much more simply, by the combination of Win + R.

In the window there is a special startup tab, where all the start items are displayed. You can turn everything off! Well, except that leave the language service. After saving the changes, you should reboot the system, and then enter the "Task Manager" (either Ctrl + Alt + Del or the taskmgr command in the "Run" menu). In principle, and here you can make the shutdown of some processes or in the services section turn them off altogether. In this case, you should not use a mode in which the "native" Microsoft services are not displayed. But to disconnect them you need to approach with knowledge of the essence of the matter. Of course, the system will not allow critical changes to the configuration , but in some cases, the performance may suffer.

But that's not all. Setting up and optimizing Windows 10 involves the possible disabling of the components of the system itself, which are located in the corresponding section in the "Control Panel". But here, as they say, at will.

Configuring and Optimizing Windows 10 by Removing Service Packs

Uninstalling update packages in a sense, too, can be considered a return to the original parameters. In the "Top Ten", unfortunately, their installation in an automatic mode can cause internal conflicts, which are extremely negative on the system.

You can remove them by viewing the installed updates in the Programs and Features section. But you just have to uninstall them one at a time (it's impossible to select everything).

Factory reset

Now a few words about how to make it so that the factory settings come into effect. In the "top ten" there is such an opportunity. You can reset Windows 10 settings through the recovery system, which is accessed through the "Options" menu.

In the window above there is a special reset string and the corresponding button. Although the English version is Reset, in fact such a reset can be treated as Refresh. In other words, the use of such actions allows you to "refresh" the system so that it acquires an initial appearance, as it was after the basic installation.

Clean installation

Another method, where you can reset Windows 10 settings, is the so-called clean installation of the system, when the user completely abandons the previous system, over which the version of Windows 10 Technical Preview was installed.

This is done in the same way as in the previous case, but when you specify the parameters, you do not select to save user files, but completely delete the information. Of course, registration data like a key or a Microsoft account will also be deleted, so you will have to re-enter the relevant information.

Optimizing Windows 10: Third-Party Programs

Now about the optimization itself. To be engaged in search or termination of system processes manually - business absolutely ungrateful. Moreover, it is also impossible to edit keys in the system registry without special knowledge. The slightest incorrect removal of the record can collapse the entire system.

That is why the optimization of Windows 10 should be done with the help of special utilities, called optimizer programs. They make the system accelerate automatically. From the user, you only need to select the modules involved, start the troubleshooting process, and activate the error correction when the scan process is complete.

From programs, it is believed, the best indicators are demonstrated by utilities like Advanced System Care or software products from AVZ. True, in the second case, the activated program constantly hangs in the tray, and you can remove it from there only by forcibly completing the work through the Task Manager. But from the Advanced System Care module, the output is very simple, even if you are monitoring the system in real time.

Instead of the total

Of course, this is not all about optimizing the "dozens". It did not consider the same network settings Windows 10, which can be managed and standard methods, and with the help of special applications. Also, absolutely none of the services and components that are to be disabled are listed. But, it's worth noting especially, the tuning and optimization of Windows 10 does not allow the Microsoft .NET Framework, Microsoft C ++, JAVA package update services to be turned off, and so on. The rest of the updateers can, in principle, be disabled. Well, except that you should leave the plug-in Adobe Flash Player, although you can also update this add-on manually.

In general, initially it is necessary to proceed from what you need to receive as a result. A clean installation, for example, will delete all information that was stored in the system partition (not on the logical drive). How else does Windows 10 optimize? Programs of a narrow direction are, of course, good, but disabling services in autoloading is probably the most effective method of increasing system performance, although such elements can be managed with the help of third-party accelerator utilities. It's like someone like it.
