Seeds of tomatoes - for greenhouses and not only

Every summer before avid gardeners and summer residents there is a problem - what kind of tomato to choose for planting in greenhouses? In the past, it, in principle, did not exist. In any store you could buy such seeds of tomatoes for greenhouses, like Agata or Gruntovoy Gribovskaya. But now ... Firms-competitors every year literally fill up the market with various grades of seeds. Fans of growing tomatoes do not even know which varieties are really good and which really correspond to the description given on the package. After all, each manufacturer praises his brand, exciting imagination and taste buds. In the end, of course, I want to take more different seeds. Many truck farmers do this. But it does not lead to anything good. Some seeds can not ascend at all, some - they are constantly ill. Some sorts are not like the area in which they will be grown. And it's just impossible to keep track of so many landings. Not enough time, and the average Russian does not have so much room on the windowsill for seedlings, so much space in the greenhouse. How not to make a mistake in choosing which seeds of tomatoes for greenhouses to choose?

Let's first take a look at the definitions that often appear in the description of varieties on packages.

Determinant grade. If the variety is such, it means that it does not have the property to be pinned (that is, to stop growing), it can grow almost infinitely in length. These are the ideal tomato seeds for the Moscow region, used for growing in a greenhouse. If you do this in the open, from the bushes of such tomatoes you can get only a couple of three brushes. The thing is that they do not have enough time and warmth to ripen. And here superdeterminant varieties just need to grow in the open ground, in order not to occupy a precious place in greenhouses. Only it is necessary to choose superdeterminant varieties with as short vegetative periods as possible so that by August tomatoes have managed to tie and pour the necessary number of brushes with fruits.

Seed bags, on which it is written that the fruits are stored for a long time, are well transported or do not crack, should be alerted. If you use such seeds of tomatoes for greenhouses, the fruits then turn out to be tasteless, with an ugly white solid frame under a pretty red skin. Such varieties are professional hybrids specially created for sale. The only advantage of such varieties is that they are not bad at all-fruit canning. For example, a suitable variety is Caspar, and it does not taste bad.

"The variety is resistant to many diseases" - an inscription that is absolutely non-binding. Tomatoes are still affected by kladodosporiosis or other "tomato" sores. It is much better if the producer honestly points to the packaging, what sort of diseases the variety resists.

Strangely enough, but it is noticed - if on the package it is indicated, the fruits have high taste qualities, tomatoes are not tasty.

Seeds of tomatoes for Siberia should be tall to rationally use the internal space of the greenhouse, where they will grow. This is an ideal option for such climatic conditions. Such varieties also, as a rule, have protection against bacterial and fungal diseases. You can use determinant and semideminant varieties of tomatoes.

Regardless of what kind of tomato seeds for greenhouses you have chosen, before they are planted, you can deduce a few specific rules.

1. Treat the seeds before sowing seeds in a weak solution of potassium permanganate, lowering them in a gauze pouch into this solution for 15 minutes.

2. Then soak them for 12 hours in any nutrient solution: for 1 liter of water or a tablespoon of ash, or a teaspoon of nitrophos. Then, without rinsing, also in 12 hours put in clean water.

3. Season the seeds: put in a damp bag in the fridge for 2 days. Then - immediately put in the soil.
