The Russian airline "Red Wings" was founded in 1999. Originally it was called "Airline 400". After the change of owners and rebranding in 2007, the carrier changed the name to the existing one. Incidents

The history of the air carrier has its own black strip. In December 2012, the Red Wings Airlines aircraft crashed into the fence after landing at the Vnukovo airport (Moscow), having pulled off the runway. On board there were no passengers, the flight was carried out only to transfer the vessel from the Czech Republic to Moscow. In the middle there were only eight crew members, five of them were killed.

After this incident in February 2013, Rosaviatsia decided to suspend the flight license.
