Rating of regions of Russia in terms of living standards and investment attractiveness

Today, as never before, various ratings of countries and cities are popular. With their help, you can find a list of Russian cities in which it is comfortable to live and work, find out the ecological situation or understand which cities are attractive for business, and in what risks are great. In each study, errors and errors are possible, therefore, when studying each of the lists, it is necessary to understand which categories, indicators and estimates influenced the position of a particular city in the table.

Ways to form ratings

Methods for the formation of city ratings are different, and the results of research, depending on the chosen method, can vary exactly the opposite.

Ratings are made in different ways:

  • Based on opinion polls and voting;
  • Based on the analysis of statistical data, according to specified criteria, with the involvement of experts;
  • Combined methods.

Most credibility is caused by the ratings compiled in a combined way, because they take into account both the opinions and opinions of the residents of the city, region and country, and the results of the analysis of the criteria by specialists in working with public opinion.

When considering a rating, one should pay attention to who made it and what methods it used. A great deal of confidence in the results is attached to references to competent sources. For example, professional organizations working with public opinion, such as RosStat or the Ministry of Economic Development.

To date, there are many research parameters for compiling an opinion on cities and other subjects of the Russian Federation.

Types of ratings

Any lists are made up for specific goals and objectives of the study. And it is almost impossible to embrace all topics of study. In general, the rating of the regions of Russia is represented by the following topics for study:

  • On a standard of living ;
  • The level of socio-economic status of the subjects of the Russian Federation;
  • The development of science and technology in the regions of Russia;
  • Labor market in the regions;
  • Rating of investment attractiveness ;
  • Ecological situation in the regions of Russia.

For each of the ratings, a special table is drawn up, where anyone can look up the actual data for each of the points studied and understand which areas are leading in this direction, and who is behind and in what parameters. The rating of regions of Russia in terms of living standards , labor market and other research data is often published on official resources.

Winners and outsiders

Each region is fighting for the right to be the best in everything, however it is almost impossible. And according to different criteria, the first and last positions change to the exact opposite.

The economic rating of the regions of Russia (according to RIA "Rating") at the beginning of 2016 included 85 positions. The leading place in the social and economic situation of the subjects of the Russian Federation is occupied by Moscow, followed by the northern capital of Russia. The last four places occupied: the Republic of Altai, the Republic of Ingushetia, the Jewish Autonomous Region and the Republic of Tuva.

According to the level of employment, the rating of the regions of Russia is confidently opened and held by the capital, and the high unemployment rate is noted in the Chechen Republic, Dagestan and Kalmykia.

The level of welfare of families in Russia in the first three includes: the Yamal-Nenets AO, Chukotka AO and the capital. The lowest rating levels are occupied by the Ivanovo Region, the Republic of Dagestan, the Pskov Region.

Level of ecology

In Russia, as in the whole world, a lot of problems related to the preservation of the environment. Especially in those parts of the country where there are enterprises of heavy industry, and where minerals are mined. Emissions into the atmosphere and the soil clearly do not do better to the planet and its inhabitants.

The ecological rating of the regions of Russia is represented by various studies, there is even a national ecological map of the subjects of the Russian Federation, where all the regions and the degree of their pollution are reflected in the country map in detail and accessible for understanding. According to the All-Russian public organization "Green Patrol", the leading positions on the level of ecology in the Russian Federation are occupied by the Tambov Region, the Altai Republic and the Altai Territory. Outsiders in this list are: Norilsk, Leningrad, Sverdlovsk and Chelyabinsk regions.

Innovative rating

This ranking reflects the development of science, education and the introduction of modern technologies in the regions. The higher stages are rightfully occupied by those parts of the country in which scientific activity is well developed, a large number of new research laboratories, institutes and, of course, higher education institutions.

The rating of innovative regions of Russia (according to the Association of Innovative Regions of Russia) includes 83 subjects, the study of which was carried out according to 23 indicators. Among the indicators are reflected: the position of scientific activity, the creation and implementation of innovative developments, the development of universities and socio-economic conditions.

Weak innovators recognized the following subjects: the Nenets Autonomous District, the Republic of Ingushetia and the Chechen Republic.
There is a special Association of Innovative Regions of Russia, which supports and develops this industry. With the support of the association, an electronic map of innovative Russia was developed that reflects all the rating data on the territory of the Russian Federation. The map is available to all comers on the official resource of the Association.

Investment Rating

The investment rating of the regions of Russia reflects the situation of the subjects in terms of their attractiveness to entrepreneurs, and also assesses the actions of the authorities to create favorable conditions for the successful conduct of their own business, including support for small and medium-sized businesses.

According to the national rating of the Agency for Strategic Initiatives, which includes 85 subjects in the study, the Republic of Tatarstan has been in the lead for more than a year now, and at the end of the top twenty list of the Tambov region and the Republic of Bashkortostan.

In 2016, the rating was replenished by two new subjects: the Republic of Crimea and the city of Sevastopol.

The highlights of this rating for 2016 mark the high rate of growth of risks in all subjects. For example: consumer demand for August 2015 increased by 1%, and in 2016 fell by 4.2%. The output of the industry also fell, by three point two percent.

This rating of the regions of Russia allows entrepreneurs to assess their risks at the stage of planning entry into a particular region and development in it.

Rating on the standard of living

The study of the standard of living in the subjects of the Russian Federation includes many criteria, for example, the level of infrastructure development, employment, the size of wages, the ratio of demand and supply.

According to the Ministry of Economic Development, four of the strongest cities included: Kaliningrad, Krasnodar, Ekaterinburg, Irkutsk. The regional centers of Lipetsk, Surgut and Tomsk are closing down the top twenty cities.

Other ratings

To date, the rating of Russia's regions is represented by a variety of different topics of research, mainly economic indicators. But there are other, sometimes ridiculous, types of ratings. For example, the most tourist cities in 2016 were selected: Sochi, St. Petersburg and Moscow. The most sad city was recognized as the capital, and the happiest residents of the country, it turns out, live in Grozny. The leader in safety was resort Anapa, and all lovers of sweets gather in the northern capital of the Russian Federation.
