We are talking about the end of a general education school, a professional institution, about raising the level of professional skill, dismissal from work , etc. Moreover, professional self-determination is associated with age, socio-psychological maturity of the individual, its need for self-actualization and self-realization.

Let us consider in more detail the main stages of its development.

Professional self-determination in adolescence. The youth begins to lay the foundations of relations to a variety of types of labor, the development of a world outlook and personal values that determines the selectivity of choice. This is expressed in a differentiated attitude to academic subjects, classes in circles and the emergence of a hobby. As a result, adolescents form appropriate dreams and intentions.

In the youth, professional self-determination is the most important task. The fact is that in adolescence, the notion of future work is diffuse and uncertain, and the choice made is most often not psychologically substantiated. In adolescence, there comes an understanding that success and well-being in life will depend on how correctly the profession is chosen. Therefore, young people tend to pay more attention to those subjects that will be necessary for admission to secondary or higher education.

Professional self-determination in his youth is associated with training in the SSU or university. As a result, the personality acquires several psychological neoplasms. This - socialization, special experience, necessary and important for the work of quality. This will result in a professional identity.

When you enter a position, you must master your work and fulfill all your duties. As a result, professional growth will be important . It is at this stage that a kind of "verification" of how correctly the choice was made is taking place, as some of the young people who are currently professionally self-determined experience considerable psychological discomfort, which is due to the presence of unrealized lofty plans related to work.

Therefore, a large number of mature professionals do not pass successfully a unique "test" of working life. This initiates the emergence of new, vitally important tasks and goals.

But it is necessary to take into account that with the age of a person will expect:
