People with superpowers that science can not explain

Someone can draw a masterpiece with blindfolds in a matter of seconds, others can calculate in their mind complex numbers as good as a computer, someone has a phenomenal memory ... There are a lot of people in the world who surprise with their supernatural possibilities. Science has been studying these abilities for decades, despite the fact that these results are not always accepted by the scientific community. The article gives some examples that will make you wonder and think: are these people real?

Ingo Swan is a man who sees at a distance

This person can describe a remote geographic object located hundreds of thousands of kilometers away from it. Moreover, he is not alone in his ability, there are other examples of people with the same unique capabilities, and this is a proven fact. Scientists at Stanford University (according to some sources, together with the CIA) conducted scientific research on parapsychological phenomena, including remote vision, which lasted more than two decades. In these experiments, several individuals were able to describe various objects that were in another room and in other remote places. According to a publication in the journal of scientific research, one of the participants in the study, Ingo Swanu, was able to successfully describe the shape of the ring around Jupiter, about the existence of which at that time the teaching could not know. Ingo went further: he managed to describe the surface of the moon. In the remote viewing of objects were secretly interested in intelligence services, so the experiments caused such interest and required a lot of money. Who knows how much more information remains closed from us?

Uri Geller. What is psychokinesis?

Another amazing example is the work of the aerospace engineer and physicist Jack Hawke. In collaboration with the army colonel Zh. B. Alexander, he was responsible for conducting a series of sessions, the purpose of which was to investigate the real possibilities of psychokinesis (the movement of objects by thought). Experiments were carried out using various metallic objects. Subjects managed to bend or deform samples without physical effort. There are also reports of people (mostly children) who have the ability to teleport, that is, instantly move from one place to another. One of the subjects was the psychic Uri Geller, who during the conversation bent the spoon without touching it. One can doubt, think that this is a fraud, but what Uri Geller demonstrated is a reliable fact. Undoubtedly, the consciousness has some measurable impact on our physical material world, and the arguments in favor of this assertion have already firmly become part of the scientific literature.

Stephen Wiltshire - ingenious autistic

He was diagnosed with "autism" at the age of 3 years. He is an artist who paints detailed urban landscapes. He is widely known for his ability to observe accurate mapping of cities in just a few seconds, and then to depict them with extraordinary precision. All his paintings are written from memory.

Wim Hof is an icy man

Wim Hof struck many scientists by the fact that he could meditate, remaining immersed in ice, for almost two hours. At the same time, his body temperature did not change much. It is amazing, besides it gives the world proof of what a huge role consciousness plays, so great that it can depend on it the reaction in our body to these or other situations and malaise. After Wim successfully passed the test and proved that he can maintain body temperature in such harsh conditions, he went on. The decision was this: climb Everest in some shorts, resist mountain sickness, then complete your marathon in the Namib desert without water. And he carried out his plans. Such records Wim Hof staged repeatedly. Scientists have damaged and proved in the laboratory that he is able to regulate his vegetative nervous system and immune system at will. Of course, all this is considered impossible for most people.

Secrets of Buddhist monks

During her stay in remote monasteries in the 1980s, Harvard professor of medicine Herbert Benson and his research team studied monks living in the Himalayan mountains, which could raise the temperature of the fingers and toes by as much as 17 degrees. Until now, it is not known how monks are able to generate such heat. The researchers did not stop there, they continued to study enlightened, meditators in Sikkim (India). And once again scientists were amazed when they were shown how monks can reduce metabolism by 64%. In 1985, a Harvard research group made a video of how the monks instantly dried cold, wet sheets with the heat of their bodies. Such miracles are not uncommon. How are the monks on winter nights in light clothes in the Himalayas, at an altitude of 15,000 feet? Can yoga, meditation and other similar practices reveal the inherent human supernatural psychic abilities?

Daniel Tammet - life in numbers

In 2004, this guy attracted much public attention by reciting the mathematical constant Pi (3.141 ...) from memory: at 22,414 decimal places. This lasted 5 hours and 9 minutes, and he made no mistakes. Reading took place at the Museum of the History of Science in Oxford. Daniel set the record for Europe.

At the age of 4 he was diagnosed with "autism" after a severe epileptic fit. Nevertheless, he is able to perform a number of complex psychological problems and learn from a mathematical course that is inaccessible to any "normal" mind. This is common among autistics, and Daniel himself stresses that the differences between the scientist and the unlearned mind, which official medicine states, are too illusory. According to him, his amazing ability is not the result of genetic fads, rather it speaks of a very rich and complex associative form of thinking and imagination.
