Double attack in Moscow - an explosion in the subway. "Lubyanka" and "Culture Park", March 29, 2010: chronicle of events, photo trains

Exactly six years will be completed this year from the day of the most terrible tragedy in the Moscow metro. On March 29, an explosion occurred at the Lubyanka station and, following him, on the Park of Culture. A terrible number of victims of those events shocked the entire world public. Monday morning claimed more than 40 lives, and about 100 people were seriously injured. Among the victims were not only Russian citizens, but also residents from the Philippines, Malaysia, Israel and neighboring Asian countries. The funeral took place on April 1, while Moscow was not the only city where the relatives of the dead mourned. In other regions (Rostov-on-Don, Chekhov, Sevastopol, Yakutsk, Tajikistan) sent 16 bodies.

The explosion in the metro "Lubyanka" and "Culture Park", related to the management of the Sokolnicheskaya metro line of Moscow, as the investigation later established, was made by terrorists.

Initiation of investigation

On the same day, the prosecutor's office of the Russian Federation opened criminal cases, each of which qualified as a terrorist act. Double attack in the Moscow metro on the "Lubyanka" and "Park of Culture" during the investigation combined into a single production. The first version of the detectives was the conjecture about the well-coordinated planned work of the suicide bombers. A few hours after the incident, the media leaked information about the assumptions of the authorities. In addition, one of the evidences that the explosions had been made with a view to a more tragic outcome, the investigation considered the following. Both explosive devices worked when the stations were as crowded as possible. And as modern technologies give a lot of opportunities, including criminals, it is most likely that the explosions in the Moscow metro Lubyanka and Park Kultury happened when the device was turned on with the help of mobile phones.

Organized criminal grouping

That terrible day brought together almost all representatives of law enforcement agencies in one place. Also there were numerous brigades of "First Aid", cynologists with dogs, sappers, firemen. Thanks to the joint efforts of several structures, the investigative bodies managed to find concrete evidence confirming the involvement of female suicide bombers in the tragedy. However, one thing was clear for sure: in order to carry out the terrorist attacks at the metro stations Lubyanka and Park Kultury on March 29, 2010, the terrorists were assisted by accomplices.

The suicide bombers are the main characters

Some doubts on this terrible case were dispelled by the cameras of the video surveillance installed on the platform. The received images of persons confirmed that two young women took on the function of the deadly execution. They clearly showed that in appearance, both terrorists who staged an explosion in the metro station "Lubyanka" and "Park Kultury" are no more than 25 years old. Dressed in dark clothes and clothed in scarves, they tried to hide their faces that betrayed their Caucasian nationality. It also became known that on the eve of the tragic incident in one of the police stations there was a strange call. The woman, a resident of the capital, stated that she had become an occasional witness of the Chechens talking at the metro station "Konkovo", which discussed the organization of the explosions. However, despite the immediate reaction of law enforcement officers who went to the alleged site of a large-scale crime, the outfit with the cynologists could not find anything suspicious.

Who is guilty?

Soon, one by one, explanations followed. Two days later, a video was brought to the network with the participation of one of the wanted terrorists in Chechnya, Doku Umarov. In his video message, he officially stated that the explosions in the metro station "Lubyanka" and "Park of Culture" were organized by his subordinate group, arguing their illegal actions as revenge for the recent February events in Ingushetia. Then the federal Russian troops in the settlements of Datykh and Arshty conducted an anti-terrorist operation in which one of the illegal gangs was destroyed and four residents were killed. It should be noted that the refutation did not take long. Literally a few hours later a report appeared to journalists of the First Caucasian Channel in Georgia, in which allegedly Umarov denied the authenticity of his previous speech and the responsibility for the explosion in the metro station "Lubyanka" and "Park of Culture" is completely removed from itself. As it turned out later, experts, this audio recording was not real, the voice of the person on it did not belong to the wanted Umarov.

Culprit of the tragedy on the "Park of Culture"

Thanks to coordinated actions of the capital's management of special services and their colleagues in the North Caucasus, it was possible to find out the identity of one deceased criminal who was guilty of the tragedy of the Park of Culture. As it turned out, it was a resident of Dagestan, and in her wake the investigation could take the following important steps. Data about the suicide bomber soon all the same leaked in the media. The public was shocked that the girl who had undermined herself was only 17 years old. Her name was Janet Abdullaeva (Abdurakhmanova). Umalat Magomedov, also a member of a terrorist group who died two months earlier during a special operation to destroy illegal units, was the consort's husband, whose motive was to avenge the death of her husband. Explosions in the subway "Lubyanka" and "Park of Culture" became for her a whole "act of retribution."

Identification of the second terrorist

In the process of determining the identity of the second dead terrorist, the appeal of citizen Magomedov to the Prosecutor's Office of Dagestan helped. Explosions in the metro "Lubyanka" and "Park of Culture", photos of participants whom he saw while watching television news, were committed by Janet Abdullayeva and his daughter. The suicide bomber, who was learned by her father, Maryam Sharipova, triggered an explosive mechanism at the Lubyanka station. According to him, the girl was 27 years old. However, to confirm the information, a genetic examination was appointed, which confirmed that the deceased really was Magomedov's daughter.

Almost simultaneously with the exposure of the suicide bombers, the federal services succeeded in discovering information about the persons who directly organized the explosions in the Moscow metro Lubyanka and Park Kultury. The chronicle of the events of those days shows that, despite the rapid identification of the base of the criminal operation, the accomplices of the suicide bombers themselves were lucky to escape. Law enforcers confirm only that the group lived in a rented apartment, which is located in an unremarkable residential building, not far from the station "Khamovniki".

Events of Monday morning on March 29: first "Lubyanka"

Two explosions in the Moscow metro station Lubyanka and Park Kultury became a surprise for the whole of Moscow. The first of them occurred in the morning, when the clock was not yet eight. Organizers of this interval is chosen not by chance, because it is a kind of peak hour for the population. At 07:56, after entering the second train car with the bright and memorable name "Red Arrow", Maryam Sharipova performed the plan of terrorists. The explosion occurred during the movement of underground transport, which only began to depart from the station in the direction of "Street Podbelsky." The experts managed to identify and restore the picture of those terrible minutes. They concluded that the woman was standing right at the door of the car, when the train stopped at the platform, and literally a moment before the opening of the door, she led the ill-fated mechanism into action.

Important is the fact that, according to eyewitnesses of the incident, no one was going to evacuate people immediately after the explosion. The hands-free dispatchers only sent messages about the late arrival of trains and recommended that passengers turn to ground public transport.

The second explosion occurred in forty minutes

Less than an hour later, there was a second explosion, in the metro station "Park of Culture". "Lubyanka" was subjected to a stronger blow. If we measure the power of the explosive device, then in the TNT equivalent , almost four kilograms of the substance were laid in the bomb. For the tragedy in the second place, the terrorists used about one and a half kilograms of explosives. The explosion in the metro station "Lubyanka" and "Culture Park" (photo trains so shocking that it is impossible to provide them) left practically no chance of survival for those who were in the immediate zone of defeat. This is evidenced by an analysis of specialists from the laboratory, who determined that the bombs contained hexogen and small reinforcing elements, iron bolts.

The train, which suffered the second, also followed in the direction of "Podbelsky Street". Everything happened in the third car at 08:39.

Evacuation of people from the subway

The administration of the subway decided to immediately block any movement of trains on the way from the "Sports" station to the "Komsomolskaya". When the rescue team arrived in time, a large-scale evacuation of people from all underground stations began, since, according to the metro department, at that time almost 4 thousand people were underground. Fearing that the terrorist attacks at the metro stations "Lubyanka" and "Park Kultury" could not be the last, rescuers brought people to the surface without fail. Eliminate the terrible consequences of the tragedy attracted a huge number of experts, equipment and special equipment.

Measures taken by law enforcers after the tragedy

Innovations have occurred in the security work of the police. The leadership of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Russian Federation in Moscow issued orders to strengthen control over the metropolitan streets and metro, the regime for checking documents, passports from all passers-by (especially those of Caucasian appearance). In addition, when there were explosions in the Moscow metro Lubyanka and Park Kultury, an acute need arose for the assistance of the Interior Ministry troops of the Russian Federation. Their task was to constantly patrol stations, airports, metro and other important facilities.

Condolences to the dead

The reaction of the world community to the incident did not take long. The next day after the terrorist attacks in Moscow declared a mourning. To express their condolences to the head of the Russian state, heads of many states, famous foreign politicians hastened. Hastened to condemn the terrorist act as a manifestation of terrorism in general, the heads of the G8, the EU, Asia, the post-Soviet states presidents, as well as UN Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon, the Pope and others.

The explosion in the metro station "Lubyanka" and "Park of Culture" (photo by Dmitry Medvedev, laying flowers in memory of the dead can be seen below) and the place of the tragedy became symbolic for Moscow residents. Many people coming down to the station, fear is enveloping up to now. After all, any manifestation of terrorism is dangerous not only for citizens of any state, but for all of humanity. This is a direct threat to world order and stability.

How to avoid new attacks?

In order to avoid the repetition of such tragic events as the terrorist attacks at the Lubyanka metro stations and the Culture Park, all the world's countries should act in one direction. Despite the achievement of a certain level of security at stations, airports, subways, there is still much to be done, using additional means and forces. In the security committees of the UN and the Council of Europe, this issue is repeatedly raised. Given the correct functioning of the surveillance system of the Moscow Metro, as well as the mechanism of analytical processing of the data received, the failure still occurred. Security guards were unable to detect disguised suicide bombers during peak hours.

One of the important steps was a decree signed by President Dmitry Medvedev. The normative legal act presupposes a revision of the existing and creation of new conditions for comprehensive security in the transport infrastructure, especially in the metro.

Explosions in the Moscow metro Lubyanka and Park Kultury, the date of which will forever remain in the memory of the relatives of the deceased, people who were fortunate enough to survive and those who descend to the stations every day remind that modern states still have a lot to do Overcoming the important problem of the whole world - terrorism.
