Disturbing symptoms - constant drowsiness and fatigue

Everyone knows a feeling of exhaustion or severe fatigue after hard work or great physical exertion. But, having rested, we again felt well. The constant drowsiness and fatigue experienced by an increasing number of people is another matter. What is the reason for this condition? What can be done to alleviate this ailment or is this a constant problem?

Drowsiness and fatigue are haunting some people day in and day out and this is a very painful feeling. Except for the banal lack of sleep, here are some of the reasons for this disorder:

  1. Lack of vitamins in the body. Such vitamins as B12 and D are responsible for the state of vivacity of our body, that is, for the production of energy. Vitamin B12 is found in the following foods: fish, milk, eggs, meat. The Vitamin D is produced by the body itself, if you do not forget to go to the sun. Although recently sunlight is dangerous to health, but if you tan moderately, you can improve your condition, so you will leave constant drowsiness and fatigue.
  2. Reception of drugs. Perhaps you have recently taken any medication, the side effect of which is fatigue, apathy or drowsiness. For example, antihistamines. In this case, consult a doctor to replace them with other similar medications.
  3. In some cases, persistent drowsiness and fatigue is a consequence of disorders in the thyroid gland. Optimal treatment will appoint an endocrinologist, perhaps it will be hormone replacement therapy. But the exact diagnosis can be made only on the basis of the results of tests on the amount of thyroid hormones in the blood . If, on the background of fatigue, there are also problems with weight, chills, irregularities in the menstrual cycle in women and dry skin, then, most likely, the problem is really in the thyroid gland.
  4. Often, depression is accompanied by apathy and fatigue. If it has not yet acquired a chronic nature, when you need treatment from a specialist in psychiatry and taking antidepressants, then try to do physical exercises. It has long been established that physical activity is a natural antidepressant.
  5. Cardiac diseases sometimes explain the constant weakness and drowsiness. Often, women who suffered a heart attack had a strong weakness before the attack for some time. If you have heart problems, immediately consult a cardiologist.
  6. Diabetes is accompanied by fatigue and lack of strength. Increased sugar content causes intense thirst and frequent urination, especially at night. This leads to a lack of sleep and a feeling of a feeling of shatter during the day. It is worth checking the blood for sugar and in case of an elevated indicator you need to adhere to a strict diet.
  7. Narcolepsy. This disease is associated with sleep disturbances. People suffering from narcolepsy are subjected to sleep attacks at the most inappropriate daytime. At the same time they are not left sleepy during the day, no matter how and how much they sleep at night. Such a state of a sick person has an extremely negative impact on the quality of his life: he can not work fully, his family is constantly at loggerheads, his life is subject to real danger, because he can suddenly fall asleep anywhere and injure himself. Driving a car becomes extremely dangerous for him and others. So far, medicine has not found an effective remedy for narcolepsy, but there are a number of drugs that can alleviate the condition of the patient.

In any case, if your life is accompanied by constant fatigue, this is an occasion to seriously analyze your lifestyle and take up your health.
