Dermatological diseases. What does the lichen look like?

Probably everyone in the childhood heard a ban from parents when he wanted to stroke a homeless kitten or a dog. And everyone heard the terrible word "deprive". But no matter what it looks like, no one told me what it is. And then there was a disease, and the doctor stated: "Ringworm."

Not every adult can with confidence explain what it is and how it looks like lichen. A similar term is used to refer to a group of dermatological diseases. They appear in various ways, since it depends on the type of lichen. But most often it's either a papular rash, or a peeling epidermal surface, which can be either red or slightly pink. How did it happen that deprive you of the skin? Until now, the causes and conditions of the onset of this disease have not been reliably known, but the greatest probability of infection arises from contact with animals, from body hypothermia, as well as from ARVI. But the most important factor that contributes to the development and occurrence of the disease is the weakened immune system. And the cause of deprivation is fungi and viruses. People at risk are over 30 years of age, but due to frequent contact with animals, this disease affects children. Depending on the type of dermatosis, the duration of the disease varies: from a couple of weeks, to several years. The rash may appear both on the limbs, and in the areas of the neck, back and even on separate parts of the head. Very rare cases of manifestations on the genitals and in the oral cavity. The most common symptom after skin rash, itch. But in 20 cases out of 100 there was a lack of any sensations of the presence of the disease.

According to the type of rash it is possible to determine the types of this disease:
- If the skin appeared oval-shaped spots of pink color, which do not rise above the surface of the epidermis and are slightly flaky, then you are faced with pink deprive. This disease affects young people. As for the localization, the spots can be located on the entire body, as well as the limbs. The rashes start with a single spot, which later acquires a yellow tint, the skin begins to contract and peel off. After about a week, the body covers a small speck of yellow-pink hue. The top of the rash dries to form a hard scaly surface. The spots themselves are framed with a red border. Such manifestations on the skin are sometimes accompanied by itching. With qualitative treatment, the disease passes through 1.5-2 months. In case the spots do not hurry to disappear after the expiration of the term, be sure to consult with a specialist. The possible reason that the disease does not want to retreat is poor treatment (maybe the drugs do not suit you) or excessive sweating.

If your symptoms are fever, even fever, and intoxication accompanied by pain on the skin (which will result in a rash as a result), then you have been shingled. What was the origin of this illness? Everything is quite simple, and everyone who has had chickenpox is familiar with this pathogen.

Multicolored or pityrious lichen is provoked by a fungus. This type of deprivation most often appears on the body of adolescents because of profuse sweating. It is not excluded and the transmission of infection through a common bed and linen.
The primary manifestation is somewhat similar to pink lichen, but the disease develops a little differently: it affects this deprivation almost all areas of the skin, and, progressing, manifests as yellow-brown spots that can unite. Itching is not observed, but insignificant exfoliation is present.
Prevention of this kind of disease consists in hardening and water-salt and water-acetic wiping.

Sometimes, lichen on the skin can be the result of an allergic reaction to drugs, as in the case of red (flat) lichen. This dermatological disease affects not only the skin, but also mucous membranes, and sometimes nails.
A distinctive feature is the papular red-violet rash, which often forms a semblance of a circle and is accompanied by itching. The top of the papule is white. Preceding this disease are diseases of the gastrointestinal tract, especially ulcers. Also, in almost 80% of cases, a rash in the oral cavity is observed. If you start the disease, then rashes will appear even around small lesions of the skin (scratches). As for the damage to the nails, the deformation resembles small indentations, and the nail plate itself becomes noticeably thinner.
The only type of lichen that occurs very often is ringworm. The localization of this disease extends to smooth skin, the scalp, and nails. Sometimes it takes the nature of epidemics. It is transmitted not only by contact, but also by lymphogenous pathways.
The latent period lasts from 5 to 15 days. How does lichen appear after a hidden leak? It manifests itself in the form of a peeling surface of gray color, which later develops into more bulky pockets, resembling the tubercles of crimson color, from which pus is prominent. Hair first breaks, and then drop out or are removed even from light pressure. In some cases, the disease is accompanied by malaise, headache and fever.
There are even chronic types of ringworm that are dangerous for children.

All forms of lichen are determined exclusively by a dermatologist. Only a specialist knows how the lichen looks and what drugs will be most effective. Be especially careful, as some types of diseases, such as multi-colored lichen, are determined by special reactions that are carried out only in medical institutions.
