Plentiful sweating is not a reason for despair

Sweating is a necessary and quite normal process of the human body. However, such a nuisance, as profuse sweating, can significantly worsen the quality of life of each person. In addition, often it indicates the presence of any disease in the body or simply states the fact of non-compliance with hygiene.

Many people are faced with the problem of excessive sweating. It can manifest as a general sweating, and locally (in specific areas of the skin). Fortunately, it is easy to solve with the help of folk recipes, the main thing is to correctly determine the causes of this ailment. And the doctor's consultation and complex examination can help in this.

Abundant sweating causes many factors, such as:

  • Increased functioning of the sweat glands, which as a result can provoke various pathological processes in the body.
  • Improper drinking regimen with considerable physical exertion in stuffy and hot weather. In this case, the body can simply protect itself from overheating.
  • Use of alcohol, some chemical compounds, too spicy or hot food.
  • Certain emotional factors. The body of most people reacts to emotions of anger, fear of increased sweating.
  • Severe sweating of the armpits can arise regardless of the external climate regime, but it is related to the state of the vegetative system and the peculiarities of the metabolic processes. Also, it can be caused by some diseases. Often, pathological sweating indicates the presence of an infectious chronic disease.

By the way, genetics plays an important role in the work of the sympathetic nervous system, which controls the sweating profuse. That is, if plentiful sweating of armpits is available to parents, then most likely, the child will suffer from this ailment.

  • Hormonal changes in the body that can be associated with menopause, pregnancy, or puberty.
  • Obesity. In this case, the activity of the sweat glands is markedly increased.
  • Violation of the normal functioning of the hypothalamus, which, as is known, regulates the temperature of the body and controls the process of sweating. It can cause brain tumors and some injuries and thereby provoke profuse sweating.
  • Dysfunctions of the spinal cord, which can cause disease or injury.

In order to find out the exact cause of excessive sweating, the doctor will need to assign mandatory diagnostics. It includes the following examinations:

  • X-ray (fluorography).
  • Blood test for sugar.
  • General blood analysis.
  • Thyroid function check.
  • Daily collection of urine.
  • Wasserman's reaction.
  • CT scan.
  • Sputum analysis (with suspicions of tuberculosis).

Without such a large number of tests, it will not be possible to establish an exact diagnosis, and therefore, diseases that provoked profuse sweating. Therefore appointments of the doctor must be strictly adhered to.

How to get rid of increased sweating?

The first way. If your nervous system is to blame for this disease, then medics can prescribe certain medications, in particular, beta-blockers or antidepressants.

The second way. If the reason lies in the age-related changes in a person, ordinary sprays, dry deodorants, talcums and various creams designed to deal with copious sweat secretions can solve the problem. The most effective remedy in this case is an antiperspirant with a high content of active substance (3-6%).

The third way. With the help of Botox injections, you can quickly and effectively get rid of excessive sweating on the palms of your hands, as well as under your armpits. Botox blocks the work of sweat glands for 6 months or more (may be about a year).

The fourth way. Through a surgical operation called sympathectomy, you can remove the nerves responsible for activating the sweat glands and thereby eliminate the problem of increased sweating. Of course, this method is quite extreme, but it is effective.

The fifth way. Trying constantly to wear clothes from natural fabrics, you can achieve that you will not sweat at all. This is because natural fabrics absorb moisture well.
