Peninsular countries of Europe and the world

The peninsula is part of the land, adjacent to one side of the mainland, and the rest is washed by water. The configuration can be relatively flat, like the Arabian, or rugged, like the Balkan peninsula. The area can not always be calculated accurately, since there is no clear boundary with the mainland. Peninsular countries, as a rule, have access to the sea and try to use this advantage, promoting tourism, diving and fishing from yachts and boats. Otherwise, these countries try not to lag behind the continental states in terms of economic and social indicators.

Northern peninsular countries attract tourists with their landscape attractions. The famous Norwegian fjords are stunningly beautiful at any time of the year. Southern countries can offer hikes in deserts with red sand, routes on camels and quad bikes.

The largest peninsula , the Arabian Sea, is washed by the seas from three sides, Red to the west, the waters of the Persian Gulf from the east, and the Arabian Sea to the south. On its vast territory there are six states, these are Arab peninsular countries. Among them, the largest country in the Arab world is Saudi Arabia. Neighboring countries are smaller states - the United Arab Emirates, Oman, Kuwait, Yemen and Qatar.

The Indochina Peninsula is the second largest after the Arabian Peninsula . There are countries such as Vietnam, Laos, Cambodia and Thailand. Further to the west is a very colorful and peculiar India. A country with deep traditions, ancient history and many religious customs. India almost completely occupied the Hindustan Peninsula. Nearby, at the northern extremity, is Sri Lanka, in the past Ceylon. On the diversity of flora and fauna is not inferior to India, the ethnic population is the same.

The peninsular countries of Europe are located in the Apennines and the Balkans. Italy is a country with a thousand-year culture and monuments of world significance. Also on the Apennines is the Vatican City, the center of religious life throughout the world. The Abode of the Pope and the Red Sutan - the Cardinals. Recently in the life of the Vatican there has been a decline. The pope refused from the throne, without really explaining the motives for his decision, the St. Peter's Cathedral became uneasy. Italy is preparing for the upheavals and invasion of atheists, such threats have already sounded.

Another peninsula in the Mediterranean, the Balkan, bears eight countries, which also have a difficult destiny, wars and defaults, financial mess and government scandals. First of all, this is Greece, a big country in which "everything is", or rather, everything was. Then Bulgaria and Albania, both strongly lag behind in economic development. Macedonia and Romania, Serbia with Montenegro and Croatia. All these peninsular countries have developed tourist infrastructure, but due to the unstable political situation they can not gain momentum in the further development of tourism.

But things are much better in the Iberian Peninsula . Calm, balanced Spain, though not without temperament, yet knows how to be friendly with all visitors. And the good in this country has something to look at. The same can be said about Portugal. Thus, Pyrenean states feel better than all other peninsular countries of the world.
