Pies are a dish we have been fond of since childhood, reminiscent of school holidays spent with my grandmother: long summer walks with friends and warm and cozy evenings with a mug of tasty and fresh milk. I remember running home from the street, hungry, tired, grabbing a patty before you have not had time to cool down, and enjoy the most delicious that can be invented by mankind, at least so it seems at that moment.

The times have changed, we have grown up, created our family, a homeliness and still we are fans of pies. Someone still prefers to tinker with a pastry test, someone buys it in the store, and lovers of light and airy French baking have replaced it with puff pastry.

Puff pastry came to us directly from medieval France, the author of his recipe is the famous, thanks to his invention, the French chef Claudius Gele. Being a poor and modest pupil of a confectioner, he accidentally invented the most ingenious recipe, which spread throughout the world and has been pleasing us with its delicate and light consistency for several centuries. A lot of great dishes and desserts have appeared and are appearing so far thanks to a puff pastry: cakes, cakes, pastry pies, bread, rolls, croissants and many different options.

Puff pastry is an excellent breakfast for children and husband. Experiment with fillings. You can put berries, fruit, chicken, mushrooms, cheese or cottage cheese inside - in any case, the puff pastry will do its job and the patties will become your favorite delicacy for your household.

The filling for puff pastry can also depend on which kitchen you prefer. The French, for example, adore sweet croissants with berries, cheese, chocolate and cream. For Italians, the most important component is tomatoes and olives. In the East, from this test, mainly various sweets are made.

Puff cakes with chicken, cheese and mushrooms are especially popular among Russian fans of puff pastry. They are always juicy, tender and crunchy. They perfectly satisfy hunger, but they also have incredible calorie content, so those who fear for their forms should limit themselves in such baking.

Shop puffs are not always fresh, so it's best to cook pies from puff pastry yourself. The dough can be bought in the store or made manually at home. For its preparation, you do not need any special skills in cooking. Just a little patience, good mood and the necessary ingredients. Mix the flour with water and salt, form a ball and roll it. From above put a pack of slightly melted butter, roll and roll again, then again and again. Then wrap the dough in a bag and put it in the cold for a day. The next day, several more times roll it up and roll it out. That's all, the alternative to the shop puff test at your disposal, you can create.

Patties made of puff pastry are also quite easy to prepare, and most importantly - they can not be spoiled. Take a piece of dough, roll it lightly, but not much, otherwise the pies will be hard and not at all airy. Roll out, now spread the filling or just sprinkle with sugar and turn off, as you like: curlicue, in the form of a croissant or patty and sent to the oven for 20 minutes. Do not forget, before editing the patties in the oven, grease them with an egg, so that they turn out ruddy.

Especially tasty such pies for breakfast with coffee or tea. Moreover, cooking takes quite a bit of time, especially if the dough and filling are already ready. Let your morning be as fragrant, gentle and fresh as pies made of puff pastry!
