Probably, almost every one of us watched the wonderful film "Seventeen Moments of Spring". Remember, in the dossier on the members of the German military intelligence were the words: "The character is Nordic, persistent"? So it was said about the best of the best. However, is this personality trait so good if it was so revered and desired for the citizens of fascist Germany? Let's understand what the Nordic character is.

For a start, it's better to look into the etymological roots of the word. "Nord" in translation from many languages means north. Therefore, in the minds of many immediately formed images of cold, harsh natural conditions, restraint and other features similar to those listed. Therefore, the character is persistent, Nordic, cold, mature - these are synonyms.

As mentioned earlier, such personal traits were especially appreciated by citizens (in particular, military and intelligence) of fascist Germany. What was the reason for this? The fact is that Adolf Hitler invented (just so - invented) some Aryan race, which is supposedly the most important among the other races, as it possesses endurance, courage, balance, steadfastness and aristocratic appearance. So, Nordic character was one of the mandatory elements and personality traits that should have been inherent in "true Aryans". It was believed that such people are capable of the actions necessary for fascist Germany.

Separately, one has to say about the appearance with which the Nordic character should be combined. A real north, whether male or female, should have a narrow face of elongated shape. The nose is also narrow and long, prominent and straight. The chin is angular. Eyes of European type, medium size, should have a gray or blue color. Hair - light, ashy, blond. The figure is slender, the height is tall. Nords must possess endurance and good physical strength.

A little moving away from the topic, I want to note that none of the ruling and military elite of Nazi Germany this image did not match. Hitler, Goebbels, Himmler, Rem ... All of them, of course, were tough and "cold", but their appearance did not correspond to the Aryan and Nordic.

Today, such a characteristic as the "Nordic character" applies to ordinary people, Europeans as well. It is not at all necessary that a person with such a character is wicked and cruel. Not at all. This means that he is just very balanced, carefully considering his every step, weighing all the pros and cons, is very cautious in words (not a single phrase he said is spoken for nothing, with nothing to do), has a high degree Persistence and the ability to calculate and cold analysis in a variety of critical situations.

If we talk about the positive and negative aspects of the Nordic character, then the pluses are:

- stressful;

- the ability to make important decisions quickly;

- calmness and endurance.

As for the minuses, they are enough:

- Closed, strongly pronounced introversion;

- inability to contact people, make friends, family;

- weak emotionality.

Nordic character - a fairly rare feature, almost not found in a "concentrated" form. Owners of this nature can only wish to use their positive qualities wisely.
