How to draw a hand correctly

Have you ever paid attention to the fact that small children, when drawing, often forget about their hands? They explain this by simply not understanding how to draw a hand! Adults scold children, try to finish the incomplete picture themselves, but ... and they do not come out. And all because only professional artists know how to draw a hand correctly. In fact, a person's hand is drawn in several stages, and in order to do it beautifully, one must adhere to certain rules - after all, the painted hands should look like real ones.

Start with the usual drawing. If you think that this is too simple and will not bring any benefit, try it and you will change your mind. It is a little easier to draw hands than drawing from the head. If your friends are also not indifferent to art, you can arrange games with drawing, for example, who will draw a hand faster and better, and the winner will receive a stimulating prize.

You can also draw your own hands. Start with an easy sketch or sketch. This will help you get a commensurate picture as a result. Do not forget that the length of the arm should be about twice as wide as its width. This is not hampered by the profound knowledge of human anatomy, the accuracy of proportions. One can give the following example: open your palm widely and imagine that this is your face. The fingertips are a line of hair, the wrist is the chin, the end of the first phalanx of the middle finger is the line of the eyebrows, the middle of the palm itself is the bottom of the nose.

The next thing to note is that the knuckles are arranged in a smooth arc, not in a straight line. As a rule, there are no parallel lines and straight lines in the hand, since it is intended for grasping and is always in motion.

Answering the question "how to draw a hand correctly", we must not miss the fact that all the fingers on the hand are of different length, and the longest of them is the average. Then comes the ring finger or index finger, then the little finger and, finally, the big one - the shortest. In order not to err in proportions, note that the middle finger is half the length of the entire palm.

Remember that the inside of the hand is always concave, and on the outside is convex. If you are drawing fingers clenched into a fist, make sure that there is not the slightest gap between them, because this does not happen in nature. But even if you draw an open palm, all the same, the distance between the fingers is usually minimal. Take in the hand of an object (you can clay or dough), squeeze and unclench it, watch as the hand moves. Note that the muscle of the thumb stands out clearly, and the palm itself is dotted with lines and furrows.

As for the bones, they are clearly visible in the knuckles of the fingers and nowhere else. Drawing knuckles, do not forget to pick out the tendons in the event that the hand is tense. The peculiarity of women's hands is their roundness. Fingers should be elegant and thin, consisting of smooth soft lines, with clearly drawn nails.

Now you theoretically know how to draw a hand correctly. Train more often and soon achieve tangible results, the main thing - do not stop drawing.
