Nikolai Ryzhkov: biography and photos

An example of a political career can be called the life of Nikolai Ivanovich Ryzhkov. He went through all the steps of the career ladder and embodied the image of a Soviet politician who seemed to be created specifically to promote the Soviet way of life. But at the same time Nikolai Ivanovich always remained a Man: with emotions, character, point of view.

Family and childhood

In the family of a miner from the village of Dyleyevka in the Donetsk region, September 28, 1929, an addition happened - a son was born. So the future prime minister Ryzhkov Nikolay Ivanovich appeared. Nothing foreshadowed such a significant biography, but fate had the boy's plans.

Nikolai's childhood was not easy, because at that time the country was going through difficult times: industrialization, war. All this made the boy grow up early and think about acquiring a useful profession. After school, he enters a mechanical engineering college, where he receives a specialty in mechanical engineering. The desire to achieve a high level in the profession forces him to enter the Urals Polytechnic Institute at the end of the "equipment and technology of welding production" at the end of the technical school.

Rapid career of the Soviet worker

After graduating from the technical school, Nikolay Ryzhkov begins his career. He connected his life with the Urals Machine Building Plant. In 1950, he comes to Uralmash, where he will work for 25 years. He begins the shift master, then quickly moves up the career ladder: the head of the flight, the shop manager, the chief technologist, the chief engineer, the general director. In 40 years he was appointed the head of an enterprise of union value. Very few people manage to reach such heights, and this testifies to Nikolai Ryzhkov's outstanding abilities.

He is distinguished by high efficiency, ability to take responsibility for himself, managerial talent, desire to penetrate every detail of the process, which he manages. In the field of welding production, he was in those days a real ace; Wrote two monographs, several scientific articles. During his time at Uralmashzavod, Nikolai Ryzhkov was twice awarded the State Prize: for organizing and implementing a project to create the largest block of workshops for welded engineering structures and for developing and introducing curvilinear continuous casting plants into production.

Manager of the state level

Such an active and promising leader could not long stay even as a general director of one of the largest Soviet enterprises. The list of the personnel reserve of the country was introduced by Nikolai Ivanovich Ryzhkov, whose biography was very successful, and he did not have to stay on the list of candidates for high posts for a long time. In 1975, Nikolai Ryzhkov was appointed First Deputy Minister of Heavy and Transport Engineering. Four years later he became the first deputy chairman of the State Planning Committee of the USSR. The statesman Nikolai Ivanovich Ryzhkov was distinguished by adherence to principles, scale thinking, progressivity. His working capacity, experience and knowledge did not go unnoticed at these high posts.

Politician of the Soviet period

In 1982, a new politician Nikolai Ryzhkov appeared in the country, whose biography makes the next turn and takes him to the very top. According to the traditions of that time Ryzhkov became a member of the Communist Party in 1956, this was an indispensable condition for those wishing to pursue a career. In 1981, he became a member of the Central Committee of the CPSU, and, as was typical for Nikolai Ivanovich, begins to advance on the steps of the career ladder. Nikolai Ivanovich said that the introduction to the Central Committee was a surprise for him, this event was the result of a good attitude to him Yu.V. Andropov. Immediately after the appointment Ryzhkov included in the commission for the preparation of reforms. The situation in the country was very difficult, and the team, which also included MS. Gorbachev, was to assess the situation and formulate proposals for its correction. A little later Nikolai Ryzhkov, whose biography describes the next ascent, becomes secretary of the CPSU Central Committee, appointed head of the economic department. He knew very well how things are going in the country, understood economic problems, could imagine a real way out of the crisis. In 1985, he became a member of the Politburo of the CPSU Central Committee, the highest governing body of the country at that time.

The coming to power of MS. Gorbachev Ryzhkov took it with enthusiasm. He supported the idea of the need for reforms, realizing that the country is rolling into the abyss, and it is urgent to do something. In 1985, Gorbachev appointed him Chairman of the Council of Ministers of the USSR, Ryzhkov became the second person in the country. As Prime Minister Nikolai Ivanovich made a huge contribution to the elimination of the catastrophic consequences of the Chernobyl accident and the earthquake in Spitak. He is developing the economic part of the program of Gorbachev's perestroika. His position was very difficult: on the one hand, the liberals accused him of a lack of determination in carrying out reforms, on the other, the Communists of the old leaven believed that he betrayed the ideals of communism. In late December, Ryzhkov suffered a very severe heart attack, and Gorbachev sent him to retire. There is a version that Ryzhkov claimed the first position in the country, Gorbachev and removed him from power.

The politician of modern times

After retiring Nikolai Ryzhkov does not leave the political arena, but is running for President of the RSFSR and becomes the second person of the state after Yeltsin. In 1995 he was elected a deputy to the State Duma and will hold three convocations. In 2003, he became a member of the Federation Council, where he worked actively in the Committee on Natural Monopolies. He supported the policy of Vladimir Putin, voted for the mandate to the president to use force in Ukraine. In 2014 he receives from the hands of Putin the Order of Merit for the Fatherland. In general, Nikolai Ivanovich has many awards. He has 7 orders, several medals, repeatedly received prizes of different levels, was awarded gratitude by the President of Russia.

Private life

Nikolai Ryzhkov, whose photo did not leave the pages of the media in the 1990s, prefers not to talk about his personal life. His wife Lyudmila Sergeyevna and daughter Marina do not give interviews and do not flash at social events. In rare moments of leisure Ryzhkov reads a lot, loves music, but still the main thing in life calls work.
