Mark Lawrence: A History of Fame

Mark Lawrence was born in Champaign, Illinois, in January 1966. When he was one year old, his parents moved to the UK. In the US, he returned to work in research projects. Now Mark Lawrence lives in Bristol. He is married. The family has four children. Mark is the author of numerous novels and the acclaimed trilogy The Ruined Empire.

Despite the circumstances, he wrote every day. In one children's hospital there was no possibility to write in a laptop - wrote on a scrap of paper. Every year he and his daughter spend 2 weeks in the hospital, then writes the whole day.
