After forty years of synchronization Maria Kiseleva, whose personal life interests many of her fans, repeatedly became the world champion, and in 2000 she was awarded the title of Honored Master of Sports. She also tried herself in the role of actress and TV presenter, and quite successfully. And now Kiseleva holds the post of press attaché of the Russian Olympic Committee.

Childhood and youth

Maria Kiseleva was born 41 years ago, on September 28, in Kuibyshev. She was the second child in the family. The girl's father was a military man, so she had to get used to moving out of her childhood. When Masha was 6 years old, the family moved to the capital.

Back in Kuibyshev, when the baby was only three years old, her parents decided to give her to the swimming section. They did not have any aspirations to grow a champion. The only thing they wanted was for the daughter to grow up healthy and disciplined. It's hard to believe, but at first the "acquaintance" with the pool did not work out, as the girl was panic-stricken with water. However, when she was ten, everything changed radically. Masha went to school in Moscow, and after her graduation in 1991, she entered the Institute of Physical Education. Lesgaft. For certain reasons, the girl left school in this university after the first course and continued her education at the Faculty of Journalism at Moscow State University.

The beginning of sports career

When the young Kiseleva just began to engage in synchronized swimming, this sport was a novelty, so it was fashionable and prestigious to send children to such sections. Beautiful music, graceful movements and splash of water splashes created a romantic halo around those who participated in such competitions. Trainers N. Kiriakidi and M. Dmitriev noticed the special diligence and the desire of the girl to conquer athletic heights, and after work with the young athlete became Tatyana Heyzer. It was under her leadership that Kiseleva achieved the status of a candidate, and a year later she became a master of sports.

Achievements and awards

1995 was a new step in the sporting career. Sportswoman Maria Kiseleva was included in the national team of the country. At the World Championships, held in Europe, the girl in a duet with Elena Azarova received her debut gold medal. Soon, her title was added and the title of master of sports of international class.

The duet with Brusnikova, who became the leader at the World Cup, and then won the European Championships, was an opening for the national sport. In its composition athletes received three gold awards, and Kiselev was awarded the title of Honored Master of Sports.

The Olympic Games in Sydney gave the unbeaten tandem victory points in the final. The only grief that overtook Kiselev was the dope test, which showed positive results due to the intake of food additives. Fortunately, Maria Kiseleva was suspended only for a month, so the duet managed to prepare for the games.

TV career

Everyone knows that the main occupation to which Maria Kiseleva devoted her youth is synchronized swimming. However, an active sports career can not last forever, so in 2000 a young woman decided to change the scope of activity. As already mentioned, she had a journalistic education, and a few months later she appeared on television as NTV correspondent, where she began to conduct sports news. There she was noticed by producer Sergei Kordo and invited me to try myself as the leading show "Weak Link". Opinions about her work in this TV project were divided, and along with extremely negative reviews one could also hear positive ones. However, the return to the sport was not as triumphant as before, and she was able to win in Athens only third place.

After a fairly long break, the former sportswoman again appeared on the screen in September this year as a TV host show "Together with Dolphins". The project is absolutely unusual, because within it the stars of Russian show business are invited to compete in coaching skills when working with these smartest marine mammals.

Career in cinema

Synchronicist Maria Kiselyova was able to fulfill her childhood dream - to make a movie. And the director Vladimir Bortko helped her in this . During the preparation for the filming of his film "The Idiot" on the famous novel of the same name by Dostoevsky, he accidentally met Maria and noticed in it a resemblance to Varya Ivolgina. There followed a proposal to embody this image on the screen, and Kiselev agreed without hesitation for a second. Maria Kiseleva's biography says that her life changed radically in 2001, when she married Vladimir Kirsanov. As the sportswoman later admitted, even during romantic dates she saw a young man as a support for herself and a good father for future children. And for a long time she did not admit to her future wife in her desires, as she was afraid that he might be frightened of serious relationships. However, everything happened exactly the opposite. Names for the children of the couple began to choose even before the wedding. Mary really wanted them to be girls, and the heavens heard her. Today, two beautiful daughters - Dasha and Sasha - are for women and her husband the main meaning of life.

Many believed that Kiseleva and Kirsanov were ideal spouses, but that was not the case. Their marriage, unfortunately, broke up in December 2012. The news about divorce has dumbfounded many, as the couple was considered one of the most beautiful and strong.

Future plans

Maria Kiseleva, whose personal life is not arranged at the moment, is 100% sure that life is only beginning in 41, therefore she is building grandiose plans for the future with a positive mood. The main thing, as Maria says, is that there are people nearby who support and believe in it. Kiselyova regrets that trying everything she wants is just not enough time and effort, so she tries to clearly set goals and plans for herself, which should be gradually and wisely executed. And her main task is the education of two beautiful daughters.
