Especially it concerns those who dared to serve on a submarine. Every day, these heroes, unknown to anyone, risk their lives, so that we can sleep peacefully and not worry that an enemy will attack our country.

March 19 - Day of the seaman-submariner. Why did this date become the basis for the celebration? In order to know this, you should plunge into the past centuries, because the history of the Russian fleet has more than two hundred years. And during this time our sailors managed to become famous even in the most remote corners of the world.

In the depths of history

The first person who suggested the idea of creating a ship was, oddly enough, a great creator in the field of culture of Leonardo da Vinci. He presented a model of a combat boat, but soon it was destroyed, because he was afraid of martial law.

Decisive actions distinguished Dutchman Cornelius Drebell in 1620-m. He designed the ship for the English King James I, after which the plan was put into reality at the shipyard in London.
