Day of the border guard is the oldest holiday. This professional holiday is celebrated by all those who are involved in the personnel of the border troops not only in the Russian Federation, but also in many other countries. The first border outposts were organized several hundred years ago.

Much attention was paid to the boundaries in Ancient Rus, when they began to erect special protective and defensive structures or shafts. For the first time, the border service was mentioned as a zase guard, created to look beyond the borders of the Russian territories directly.
