Magnetotherapy at home. Magnetotherapy - indications

In recent times, natural methods have been increasingly used to strengthen the body and treat various diseases. One of them is magnetotherapy (physiotherapy with a magnet). This method of treatment is the effect of magnets on the body. Such therapy is not a folk remedy, but represents one of the most effective areas of modern medicine. Medical technologies are constantly evolving, high-quality mobile devices are being created, and today it became possible to carry out such a procedure as magnetotherapy at home.

Historical reference

The founder of this therapy is considered to be the Swiss doctor, philosopher and alchemist Paracelsus, who in the XVI discovered that with various diseases, magnetotherapy can be used. Treatment in this way was used for epilepsy, diarrhea, bleeding. It has been proven that by combining magnetotherapy with drugs, it is possible to accelerate the healing of wounds and burns, and also to reduce pain sensations of a different nature. Over time, interest in magnetotherapy increased. Numerous studies in this field have been carried out. However, in the XX century, in connection with a huge breakthrough in the field of pharmaceuticals, magnet therapy was gradually forgotten. Today, interest in treatment without drugs has returned, and more and more popular is gaining such a method as magnetotherapy (indications for the use of this method of treatment will be described below).

Properties of magnetotherapy

Due to the special biological activity, the magnetic field is able to provide a preventive and health-improving effect on the human body. Due to the healing properties of the magnetic field, the energy of the body's micromolecules increases: proteins, nucleic acids and other compounds. Also increases the speed of biological processes and reactions occurring in the body. Each person is individual, and the impact of magnetic procedures in each case is different. Due to magnetotherapy, the work of all body systems is normalized. The function of an organ working above the force decreases, but if the organ is not working sufficiently, its activity, on the contrary, is strengthened. If the body develops pathological processes, then they become inverse. In comparison with a constant magnetic field, the variable has a more pronounced health effect. As a result of the action of the magnet on the body, blood circulation improves and many vital processes in the body are activated.

Methods of influence

There are the following methods of magnetotherapy:

  • Contact (stable or labile). With stable inductors installed immovably on the skin in the projection of the pathological zone. When labile - smoothly move in the area of the source of damage.

  • Remote. Between the inductor and the area of influence, a minimum air gap is left.

  • The hollow. The procedure is performed vaginally or rectally.

Magnetotherapy: devices for the procedure

At home, it is recommended to use such magnetotherapy devices as "MAG", "ALMAG", "MAGNITER", "MAGAFON". It is also possible to use a medical belt with elastic magnets and magnetic bracelets.

The essence of the procedure

During magnetotherapy, warming of the sore spot and adjacent tissues is carried out at 2-3 ° C to a depth of 9-12 cm. This effect accelerates blood circulation in the damaged area, due to which the edema accompanying inflammatory processes dissolves, cellular immunity increases, and the mechanism of recovery activates.

Rules for carrying out magnetoterpy

The treatment rules are quite simple:

  1. The procedure can not be carried out on an empty stomach.

  2. For the duration of treatment, alcohol should be discarded.

  3. Magnetotherapy should be carried out at the same time.

  4. With any discomfort (high temperature, unstable blood pressure), the procedure is not recommended.

Magnetotherapy: indications To the procedure

This method of treatment has a large list of indications for the ailments of the whole organism. Magnetotherapy at home is applied when:

  • Pathologies of the cardiovascular system, for example, such as ischemic and hypertensive heart disease with stable angina;

  • Rheumatism, vascular dystonia, postinfarction cardiosclerosis - in this case, the treatment takes into account the individual characteristics of the individual patient, the dynamics of the disease, the clinical and functional examination data;

  • Abnormalities in the peripheral and central nervous system, traumas of the spinal cord and spine of various types, circulatory disorders in the spinal cord, ischemic cerebral stroke - in these situations, a detailed examination of the patient is necessary, after which the attending physician will give instructions on the advisability of using magnetotherapy;

  • Osteochondrosis of the spine, neuroses, neurasthenia, neuritis, neuralgia, polyneuropathy, ganglionitis, phantom pain, various paralysis and cuts;

  • Diseases of peripheral vessels - obliterating atherosclerosis, thrombangiitis, obliterating endarteritis, Reynaud's syndrome, chronic venous and lymphovenous insufficiency, thrombophlebitis of deep and superficial veins, diabetic angiopathy, consequences of aorto-femoral shunting;

  • Injuries and diseases of the musculoskeletal system - bursitis, infectious-toxic arthritis, epicondylitis, polyarthritis of various origin, deforming osteoarthritis, periarthritis, various fractures requiring the imposition of Ilizarov's apparatus or gypsum bandage, bruises, sprains, sprains;

  • Bronchopulmonary diseases - prolonged and acute pneumonia, chronic bronchial asthma and bronchitis;

  • Disorders of the digestive tract - chronic pancreatitis, gastric ulcer and duodenal ulcer in remission or exacerbation, chronic and acute hepatitis, cholecystitis, colitis, obstruction of the biliary tract, in these diseases, magnetotherapy at home can also be used for preventive purposes;

  • ENT diseases - all kinds of rhinitis, rhinosinusitis, chronic pharyngitis and sinusitis, tracheitis;

  • Ophthalmic diseases - keratitis, conjunctivitis, iridocyclitis, atrophy of the optic nerves, the first stage of glaucoma;

  • Gingivitis, acute arthritis of the temporomandibular joint, ulcerous formations on the mucous membrane of the oral cavity, fractures, wounds and jaw injuries;

  • Cystitis, adnexitis, prostatitis, urethritis, impotence, infertility, myomas, fibromas, hormonal failures in the body;

  • Skin diseases and allergic reactions;

  • Ulcers, burns, bedsores, frostbite, a decrease in the protective functions of the body.

Contraindications to the use of magnetotherapy

Contraindications to the procedure may be absolute and relative

In no case can magnetotherapy be carried out with:

  • Bleeding and tendency to it;

  • Systemic blood diseases;

  • Acute thrombosis;

  • Aneurysm of the heart, large vessels, aorta;

  • Cardiovascular insufficiency;

  • Severe angina;

  • Severe heart rhythm disturbances;

  • Mental disorders;

  • Acute myocardial infarction;

  • Infectious diseases of acute stage;

  • Exhaustion of the body;

  • Gangrene;

  • Individual intolerance.

Relative contraindications to the procedure:

  • When hypotension, the magnetotherapeutic effect is possible when the pressure is stabilized;

  • Pregnancy is a relative contraindication to magnetotherapy, since the effect of this procedure on pregnancy and fetus is not fully understood;

  • Children under one and a half years of age are treated in a hospital, magnetotherapy at home is also possible, but only for strict indications and necessarily under the supervision of a doctor.

Pulse magnetotherapy

During the treatment, pulses of a high intensity magnetic field are used for treatment. In living tissues of the body, magnetic impulses induce vortical electric currents, which stimulates the nerve fibers of internal organs and vessels, improves outflow from inflammation, expands vessels, decreases inflammatory edema, and restores damaged tissues. Impulse magnetotherapy is contraindicated in complicated forms of coronary heart disease, diffuse toxic goiter, cholelithiasis, acute thrombophlebitis, epilepsy, the presence of implanted pacemakers, acute purulent inflammatory processes.

Magnetotherapy low-frequency

This is a physiotherapy method, in which a low-frequency magnetic field (running, alternating, rotating, pulsating) is used. This procedure is more suitable for conducting at home, as it does not require external supervision by a specialist. Low-frequency magnetotherapy activates molecules in cells, due to which all metabolic processes in tissues are accelerated: blood flow increases, healing of damaged tissues is accelerated. There is a decrease in vascular tone and normalization of pressure. Increases resistance to stress, physical stress, adverse effects. The procedure for low-frequency magnetotherapy, in addition to the above general contraindications, is not performed with a pronounced hypotension, the presence of implanted pacemakers, individual hypersensitivity to the active factor.
