Loofah loofah - ideal for water treatments

It's not a secret for anyone that the quality of a washcloth largely depends on how well we clean and exfoliate the skin during water procedures. Most of us recently use accessories made of artificial materials (nylon, foam rubber, viscose, polyester), although many have a great alternative to using natural materials. A loofah loofah was recently in almost every house, although few thought about its origin. But this beautiful plant not only serves as a raw material for the manufacture of bath accessories, but it is also used for food and has an excellent decorative appearance. It is this versatility of the loofah that determines the new wave of its popularity, as it can easily be grown on its home or country plot.

Properties of natural washcloth

What are the properties of a natural loofah? It has a hard peeling effect. It is often used not only during bathing or showering, but also for carrying out some cleansing cosmetic procedures. The loofah loofah removes the skin from dead cells, improves blood circulation, favors the production of elastin and collagen, rejuvenates and smoothes the skin, increases its elasticity. Many also note a good anti-cellulite effect from the use of such bath accessories. Loofah loofah perfectly massages, but it does not irritate even sensitive skin. Thanks to its natural structure, it has a polishing effect on the cells of the epidermis, making it silky. Its use makes it possible to stimulate skin regeneration in the most problematic areas of the skin .

Cultivation and manufacture of loofah from loofah

Only those who live in the temperate latitudes of our country can grow this plant, as it has a rather long vegetation period. It is best to use a seedling method of cultivation. Seeds are sown in March in peat pots, and grown plants are planted on the street at the end of May. On this winding plant there are female and male flowers. To stimulate the growth of fruits you need to pinch too long shoots. Increases yield and artificial pollination. On each plant it is better to leave 2-3 ovaries, and cut off lateral shoots. Thanks to such actions, the fruits will grow faster and will have a larger size.

Young lyuf can be eaten, but when it begins to overripe, a peculiar rigid mesh is formed in its tissues, which is subsequently used to make a bast. In the middle of autumn, fully ripened fruits dry up right on the bushes. Before the start of frost, they are collected and dried in a warm place for a couple of weeks. How to make a loofah of loofah at home? Fruits that have dried up sufficiently, and seeds are rattling in them, are ready to remove the mesh. Seeds are removed through a small hole on the tip of the fruit. Then it is lowered into boiling water for about 10 minutes. Further, the loofah is cleansed of the skin, seeds and excess fibers. To the prepared grid around the edges, sewn fabric handles so that the loofah loofah is comfortable to use. Care of this bath accessory is simple: it is enough to dry it well after use and change every 3 months.
