How to get to the country

To get to the kingdom, you can use a car, train or plane. Most of the tourists arrive in the country through the airports of Jordan. Travelers from non-Arab countries must have a visa, which is issued on arrival at border points.

The passage to King Hussein's Bridge (west coast) is the only exception, here a visa must be obtained in advance. Travelers who wish to stay in the country for a longer period of time than one month can extend the visa at any police station. This procedure can be done twice. Prolong for three months.

Tourism in Jordan

Jordan is known for two tourist centers - the capital of the kingdom of Amman and the southern resort of Aqaba. Between these two cities the distance is only 300 kilometers. Aqaba Airport King Hussein

In 1972, the airport of Aqaba (Jordan) was inaugurated , and its first passenger was King Hussein, in his honor and named an aero unit. In the early 2000s, the main air terminal complex and auxiliary buildings were subjected to general reconstruction. Today, this airport is the largest in the country and serves up to 130,000 passengers a year.

On the territory of the air terminal complex there is a branch of the local bank. Here, any tourist with a foreign passport can take a small loan amount, get a credit card, open a deposit, replenish the account on a mobile phone, and also buy a fresh press. Branch of the bank is open on weekdays from 9:00 to 20:00 local time.

On the second floor of the complex there is a waiting room for the departing and a vip-hall. To go to the VIP hall and use the services offered, you should pay 35 Jordanian dinars (about 46 euros).

In the Duty Free store, which is located in the international flight departures area, you can buy Jordanian traditional souvenirs - homespun carpets, hookah, mosaic works, Bedouin jewelry and much more. The store works without days off from 8-00 in the morning and until the last flight.

Amman Airport

In 1983, the list of "International Airports of Jordan" was hit by another air harbor, which was named after the wife of King Hussein Queen Alia. An important air hub of the country serves more than 10 million people a year.

Amman Airport (Jordan) is the largest air-air complex in terms of passenger traffic in the kingdom. Visitors are passing through two terminals: the northern (serves the passengers of the local company) and the south (serves the passengers of other airlines). In the near future, the reconstruction of all terminals is planned.

In the northern terminal there is a VIP lounge, which offers the following services: comfortable rooms with shower and toilet, if necessary, you can spend the night in the rooms. And also in the territory of the vip-room there are cafeterias, free internet and a free press.

Those who do not want to use the services of the VIP-hall, spend their leisure time in the usual waiting room. Here there are three cafes, news stands with fresh press, you can charge the phone if necessary. A shower is available for a fee.
