It is important to take into account that if in the garage there is a wiring for 220 volts, then it is possible to install LED lamps with a standard cap, designed for such voltage. If the wiring is not done yet, it is better to choose 12 volt LED lights and a power supply that allows lighting both from the city electric network through the unit and from the car battery.

The device of LED fixtures

The classic LED ceiling light is designed as follows:

• The light source of any LED light (both embedded and invoiced) is a lamp that consists of LEDs. Their number and type - the main factors that determine the power of the lamp and, accordingly, the lamp itself.
• In one lamp there can be different number of LEDs: from one to several tens.
• All the LEDs in the luminaire, as a rule, are included in a single circuit, which is connected through the power supply to the control circuit.

In the construction of luminaires based on LED lamps, a heat sink (radiator) of various types is necessarily included, since heat is generated during operation, which requires mandatory removal. It depends on him, first of all, how the LEDs and the whole lamp will work for a long time and stable.

LED Garage Lights for Yourself

Such a lighting device can be made with your own hands. First of all, you need to stock up on all the necessary materials. It is very important to consider their price, so that the cost of a homemade product does not exceed the finished one.

Necessary materials

To make an LED lamp, you need to buy:

• Used halogen lamp without a front glass;
• Several bright LEDs (depending on the planned size of the product);
• Limiting resistors;
• Sheet of aluminum;
• Quality adhesive.

Sequence of manufacture

From the halogen lamp we remove the used lighting element. To do this, use a screwdriver to unhook the seat from the contacts and clean it. Then, without damaging the outer shell, we get rid of its remnants.

From the aluminum sheet we make a light reflector, into which we install LED lights. Here we need glue, with which we attach LEDs, each separately. It is desirable to attach the reflector to any holder for convenience.

We solder the LEDs to each other, observing the polarity. Conclusions of LEDs bend, cutting off unnecessary. We make sure that there are no intersections, otherwise a short circuit will occur . Solder the limiting resistors. Conclusions are reduced to "plus" and "minus", then soldered to thick copper wires. To make the stiffness and additional protection of the wire from short circuit cover and solder the contacts with silicone.

After doing these procedures, move the LED tube directly into the case itself, and fill the sides of the cap with silicone in the place where the screwdriver removed the remnants. We apply a polarity to the base with a marker. Conclusions of the lamp are shortened again with wire cutters. The LED light to the battery is connected by polarity. After that, if everything was done correctly, it brightens up brightly.
