Law on beer. For the health of the nation you need to fight

In just 30 years, one of the most "non-drinking" nations has won the pedestal of countries with the largest amount of consumed alcohol per capita. About how it happened, you can argue for a long time. In order not to go into polemics, it is enough to recall that we are the only country that has to struggle with childhood (!) Alcoholism, and also that crime is steadily growing in our country. Namely, crimes committed in a state of intoxication, gradually turn into a real catastrophe. And now, the State Duma starts to struggle with the current state of affairs and approves laws restricting the distribution of alcoholic products. The turn came to the frothy drink - the law on beer was approved.

Now beer is legally equated to strong alcoholic beverages. According to Yevgeny Brun (chief narcologist of the Ministry of Healthcare and Social Development of the Russian Federation) and Gennady Onischenko (head of Rospotrebnadzor), this bill was worth entering much earlier. It is because of the time lost for most people that beer ceases to be considered alcohol and is consumed in large quantities not only by adults but also by teenagers. Drinking beer from the age of 15 began to be considered a normal phenomenon. And there is nothing to be surprised at. This drink is allowed any advertising space, it is spoken about everywhere. The new law on beer corrects the situation by completely refusing any advertising-related activities related to alcohol .

Alcohol load has lowered the age threshold of beer consumers and this affects the health of the whole nation. Adolescents without a shade of restraint consume moderate doses of a foamy drink. But after the law on beer fought for more than 10 years. Now it is approved, but has a number of shortcomings and small, but loopholes. And our people are extremely intelligent and creative, we should not forget about this. All that remains is to monitor the implementation of the law. It's not a secret that the share of earnings on alcohol for many small shops and stalls is almost basic. Not every one of them will take it so simply and give up big profits. But this is more a problem of our mentality.

Details of the bill are as follows:

  • Drinks with a content of more than 0.5% alcohol are treated as alcohol
  • The law on beer prohibits the use of this drink in public places from January 2012 (yes, it's from January!)
  • From January 1, 2013, beer sales in pavilions and kiosks are strictly prohibited, and at night (from 23.00 to 08.00), only bars and restaurants will be able to sell beer
  • Prohibition on advertising of any alcoholic beverages

Whether it's good or not, they discuss wherever possible. After all, many people are used to drinking this drink in the hottest season of the year. Now you can buy, but where to drink it - your problems. The law on beer provides for a fine of up to three hundred rubles, even for a sip of an alcoholic drink in the wrong place. I wonder if Article 20.20 of the Code of Administrative Offenses of the Russian Federation (the same law about beer) will have the proper effect? By and large, it all depends on us. Drinking alcoholic beverages in public places always causes a chain reaction, and it would actually be nice to get rid of it. After all, it's not without reason that people joke that in the "states" they only permit drinking, but they "tie" at this age.

First of all, the law on beer, or rather on its partial ban, should make everyone think. Hardly you wondered why drink a bottle of vodka in the park is abnormal, but beer - always please. Do not go into details, but both - alcoholic beverages. Perhaps in a few years the fashion to drink anywhere is lost and forgotten. Movements are small, but there are, and not everyone today will risk drinking one bottle at the price of four on the street, which means that little progress has already been made. There is much to think about. And remember, the law on beer is effective from January 2012.
