Irina Velembovskaya: biography, creativity

Irina Velembovskaya is a Soviet writer, the author of works in the genre of "women's prose." Several of her books were filmed. In this case, each film, created by the work of Velembovskaya, became a real movie masterpiece. Perhaps the whole point is that the heroines of this writer are close to the audience, because they are simple women, suffering from loneliness, unsettled life and other life's misfortunes.

early years

Irina Velembovskaya was born on February 24, 1922, in an intelligent family. She lived in Moscow until she was nineteen. According to the writer's recollections, she already at an early age mastered the parent library: she read Ostrovsky, Gogol, Pushkin, Turgenev, Chekhov. My father was a lawyer by education, a first-wave communist. My mother was in charge of a bookshop. The childhood of Irina Velembovskaya was happy. However, in 1938 everything changed.

The father was arrested on the 58th article. My mother was immediately fired from her job. Continue education Irina no longer had the opportunity: the family was in distress. Ira went to work, and three years later, when the war broke out, she graduated from a nursing school and volunteered for the front.

War

For several months Irina Velembovskaya worked in the hospital. This period, it later reflected in his novel "Marisha Ogonkov." But soon the girl was arrested on an absurd charge. Until the end of the winter of 1942, Velumbovskaya was in the Nizhne-Turin prison. Then she worked at one of the plants located in the Urals. She worked for a while both at the gold-platinum mine and at logging sites. "Forest History", "Minor", "Gold is More Expensive", "Larion and Varvara" - all these works reflect events from the life of the author.

In 1944, the writer got acquainted with the prototypes of the heroes of her future novel "The Germans". The fate of this work, like its author, is not easy. The first part of the novel was published in the early fifties. Completely the work saw the light only twelve years after the death of Welembovskaya in 2002.

Returning to Moscow

In 1946 Irina Velembovskaya returned to her native city. But at home there was practically no more. From the parental apartment they made a communal apartment. Irina was sheltered by her distant relative, she also helped with the work. At first Велебовская worked as the yard keeper at school, then it was arranged on a furniture factory. The heroine of today's article worked in children's manger and in a toy factory. Then I went back to school, but already as an accountant. Ilya Velembovskaya entered the Literary Institute in 1957. By that time she turned 35 years old.

Gradually the works of Velembovskaya began to appear in literary magazines. But the topics she touched did not suit the censors. Books were published, but "with a scratch". Nevertheless, in 1965 a film appeared on the screens of the work of Irina Velembovskaya "Women." This picture was not just a hit. She entered the gold collection of Soviet cinema. And in the late seventies the films "Sweet Woman", "Young Wife" were created from the books of Velembovsky.

The works of Velembovskaya were translated into Polish, German, Hungarian. In the Soviet Union, her name became widely known after the adaptation of the story "Women." The film was played by outstanding actresses - Inna Makarova, Nina Sazonova, Galina Yatskina. A huge success was enjoyed by the film "Sweet Woman". The performer of the main role - Natalia Gundareva - was recognized as an actress of the year. The same title was awarded two years later and Anna Kamenkova, who played the main character in the film based on the story "Young wife" of the same name.

Irina Velembovskaya passed away in 2002. Buried in the north-west of the capital, at the Golovinskoye cemetery.
