Intestinal colic: how to cope with the pathology?

Strangely enough, but the concept of intestinal colic can also apply to an adult body. What contributes to this anomalous process? There are many reasons for the appearance of this pathology, but modern medicine distinguishes the most important among them: malnutrition, in particular, the use of questionable food, as well as ingestion of pathogens that gradually affect its microflora and promote intestinal colic. Productive treatment is possible only if the immediate cause of relapse has been found and eliminated, and is aimed at eliminating pain and preventing repeated exacerbations.

If we consider the dynamics of this indisposition, then we can say that the progression of intestinal colic is dominated by intestinal spasm, no matter what, thin or thick. But nevertheless, it is the small intestine that is prone to spastic reduction, in addition, such pathogenic signals disagree very quickly and become massive. In addition, spasm of the intestine is accompanied by a strong irritation.

It should be mentioned that patients with chronic diagnoses "gastritis" and "pancreatitis" are particularly predisposed to such pathology as intestinal colic. Unexpected relapses are facilitated by a weak digestive ability, pathologies of the pancreas, poor permeability of food, bloating, finally. Also, we should not exclude pathogenic microbes that can cause not only intestinal colic, but also lead to more serious intestinal disturbances. But harmful bacteria can be the most unexpected: from staphylococci to a dysentery bacillus, the degree of the disease is already determined from this and conclusions are drawn about treatment.

In medicine, spasms of the intestines on nervous soil are very common. In this case, intestinal colic often occurs in impressionable people before serious, in their opinion, life situations that are accompanied by nerve contractions of the stomach and, as a result, the disease is evident.

In addition, this ailment often progresses in a "duet" with helminths, which in turn irritate the intestinal mucosa. Intestinal anomaly is also characteristic for influenza and ARVI, which is often associated with weakened immunity during illness, as well as domination of pathogenic microorganisms in the sick organism.

How are intestinal colic expressed in adults? Symptoms of their progression are obvious, as the patient has a complete digestive disorder (constipation, diarrhea), bloating and painful abdominal sensations, liquid feces with an admixture of blood or mucus, and a slight increase in temperature.

Extremely unpleasant intestinal colic, whose treatment can include the most unexpected and sometimes completely opposite medical effects. The main task of effective treatment is to eliminate the cause that caused intestinal colic. And this means that there is no universal method for all patients, according to which the characteristic disease is treated productively. Here the approach should be strictly individual, which will be selected for a specific patient. First, you need to remove the pain syndrome, then make a series of clinical studies that will help determine the causative agent of a relapse, and then, based on the indications and the degree of the disease, prescribe treatment with further prevention.

Sometimes belated treatment of an intestinal disorder can lead to fatal consequences that can result in a hospital bed. Therefore, it is necessary to respond in advance to the signals of your own organism and to turn to a specialist in time for help.
