How to make decorations for a cake yourself

You can use the semifinished product for a cupcake or your own favorite recipes for cakes and just follow simple steps to make an unusual dessert.

You will need the following ingredients:

  • 3 boxes of semi-finished cakes (or prepare your own dough using your favorite recipe);
  • Vanilla glaze (semi-finished or own preparation);
  • Sugar mastic (it can be prepared independently from marshmallow or bought already ready);
  • Pink, purple, blue, green and yellow food colorings;
  • corn starch;
  • Your favorite cream (or boiled condensed milk, jam, etc. - according to your taste).

Step 1: prepare the cake

You need to bake 5 separate cakes for different layers, if you only have 1 or 2 baking forms, you can use them alternately.

Prepare the dough according to your recipe or the instructions on the package (if you are using a semi-finished product) and divide it into 5 uniform pieces. Add 1/4 teaspoon of pink food coloring to the first bowl and mix until smooth, even color. Such decorations for a cake, made by oneself, are very simple and do not require any special skills.

Repeat this process for the remaining four parts of the test, adding purple, light green, yellow light blue dyes to each part. Pour each mixture into a separate baking dish and bake in the oven following the instructions on the packaging of the semi-finished product. You can check the readiness of the crochet by inserting a toothpick into it. Before baking, store the remaining parts of the test in the refrigerator (if you bake everything in one form one by one).

After each cake is cooked, remove it from the oven. Leave it in place for 5 minutes, then lay it on the grate for cooling.

Take the yellow cake and put a thin layer of cream on it (or another filler), put a green layer of cake on top and put it in the refrigerator for 10-15 minutes to cool.
