Now it's time to find out what you need to do to make a bright toy for yourself and your children. To do this, we perform the following steps in sequence:

  1. We put the sleeve vertically on the transparent cover from the plastic container and circle the bottom part with a marker.
  2. Cut out a piece of plastic to fit inside the end of the roll.
  3. Apply a small amount of glue along the inside edge of the paper. Then we move the plastic circle inside the roll so that the glue keeps it in place. (At this step you need to be careful, it is better not to trust the work with the glue gun to the child, since it heats up very much).
  4. When the glue hardens, we begin to pour semi-transparent beads inside the future kaleidoscope.
  5. Cut off the second small plastic circle, using the same method as for the first one. We put it inside the pipe over the beads. We use a ruler to push the circle inside the roll, if necessary.
  6. Push the ruler inward to measure the distance between the second plastic circle and the upper end of the kaleidoscope.
  7. Cut out from the box from under the breakfast cereals 3 paper strips a width of 2.5 cm long will be the distance that we measured.
  8. We wrap 3 cardboard strips with aluminum foil reflective side outward. We use an adhesive tape to keep the aluminum foil in place.
  9. We paste adhesive strips of cardboard so that they form a triangle.
  10. Pull the triangle inside the tube so that it is on the top of the second plastic circle. If the product is not very tightly seated in the tube, it should be fixed in place with adhesive tape.
  11. Cut another circle from the lid from the plastic box to close the top of the kaleidoscope. Glue with glue.
  12. Cut out a piece of scrapbooking paper or a self-adhesive film of this size so that it can be wrapped around the roll. We glue the paper to the tube.

The toy is ready! Now you know how to make a kaleidoscope of scrapbooking paper, bushings from a roll of paper towels, beads and foil. Direct it to the light source and twist to see the colored reflections of the beads inside.

How to make a kaleidoscope out of mirrors

The best optical effect will be if instead of foil you use real mirrors, and replace the transparent plastic with Petri dishes. Before you make a kaleidoscope in this way, you need to find a mirror and a place where you can cut it smoothly. Then three identical pieces of the mirror are fastened together by a shiny side inward along the same principle as the strips of cardboard. For the base, the PVC pipe is cut off.

Design Features

To keep the mirrors in place, use pieces of cord made of polystyrene foam. On the one hand, sometimes make a plastic cap with a hole through which you can look at the colored patterns inside the tube. Ways how to make bright details for a kaleidoscope, from which the picture is added, a few. The easiest way is to draw on the Petri dish intertwining lines with colored permanent markers. Beads can be replaced with beads or small pieces of glass. The technology is quite simple. Do not be afraid to create kaleidoscopes. Enjoy the result of your children and rejoice yourself!
