Today we will look at how to make flowers from nail polish and wire. This technique of needlework is not at all costly, it is quite fascinating and simple, so that even a novice master will be able to cope with it, but the finished result will certainly please you and not leave the surrounding people indifferent. Such flowers look very impressive, and at first glance it will be difficult even to understand what they are made of. Many at first glance think that this is the finest work of porcelain.

Materials for work

To make flowers from wire and nail polish, you will need:

In order for the creative process to be easy, fascinating and homemade flowers made of wire and nail polish had a beautiful appearance, it is necessary to choose the right materials.

First of all, nail polish is better to take a little dried. Working with it is easier, and the flowers will turn out neat.
The wire should be relatively soft and pliable. Do not take fat. Ideal is a special wire for needlework, with a thickness of 0.2-0.6 mm, which can be purchased in specialized shops for needlework or hardware departments. You will need it to create a skeleton for future colors, so color does not really matter. Choose the one that you like or will suit for a particular decoration.
But wire cutters can be replaced with large scissors (if you, of course, do not feel sorry for them, because in the course of the work you need to be prepared for the fact that a failure can occur with them).
Creating flowers from nail polish and wire, you can do without special tools, such as pliers and round pliers. Since they are only needed to give the wire the desired shape, it can be replaced with improvised materials, for example, a pencil, felt-tip pen or another skeleton for your future petals. In addition, if the work uses a thin enough wire, then all manipulations can be done manually, giving the product the desired shape.
To fix the work done, as well as the flowers from the nail polish and the wire gently dried, you will need a bast to which you can place the finished workpiece, or a clip to hang it. The drying phase, as a rule, takes several hours, so for reliability it is better to leave the workpiece in this form for the night.
Before starting work, prepare the working surface and lay the table with paper, newspaper or an unnecessary oilcloth, in order to avoid hitting it with varnish.
Always have napkins at your fingertips to remove excess varnish and liquid with acetone if you accidentally get dirty yourself.
It is recommended to work in a well-ventilated area.

Before you get started, think about all the necessary details and their number. Draw a model of the proposed craft. You can create not only flowers from nail polish and wire, but also butterflies, figures (hearts, stars) and so on - there is no limit to fantasy. The only condition is that the product should be small in size. If you are planning to do a three-dimensional thing, then collect it from several parts.

Experience shows that a single piece must be in diameter equal to a brush from varnish. But it can be and a little less. In this case, you can easily cover it with a layer of varnish, and the craftspans will be beautiful and neat.

Progress

Cut the wire into small lengths of 20-25 cm. There should be as many as you need parts. For example, in order to make five flowers for a hair clip or brooch, you need, respectively, five segments.

We take one such piece and bend it in half, placing in the middle a pen or a felt-tip pen so that the free ends of the wire hang.

Hold the wire, roll the handle three or four times. Do not make great efforts and do not twist too tightly to avoid material rupture.

After such simple manipulations, the first petal of your future flower is ready. Do the same procedure four more times. You will have a flower consisting of five petals. To give it volume and more naturalness, lightly press each petal in the middle with a handle, as if making a small depression. So you can create other variations of colors, of different sizes, using pens of different diameters.

Now you can go to the most fascinating moment - the coating with varnish. We take a varnish and gently paint the petals. At the same time, it should be thick (slightly withered) and as if hanging from the brush. On the underside of the flower, carefully follow the base of the petal and remove the varnish from the brush. It is very important that the latter fully covers the entire width of the petal.

The main, most laborious part of the work is completed, and all that remains is to dry the workpieces and collect them in the final composition. Knowing how to make flowers from wire and nail polish, try to place ready-made flowers close to each other, twisting the wires between each other. Finish gently and curl each free area inside the last petal. From such a bouquet you can make hair clips, brooches, necklaces, rings, earrings, elastic bands or hoops. It all depends on your imagination and creativity.
