How to cook real Serbian koch

Every nation has its own culture. But it is not only in the history of this country. A huge imprint of national culture imposes on people's behavior and their eating habits. Due to geographical location and some political situations, Serbian cuisine unites the taste preferences of the inhabitants of the former Austro-Hungarian, Mediterranean and even the Middle East. Traditional dishes in it, besides meat, soups and salads, are also desserts and various flour products. The most popular of these is Serbian koch. It is cooked on Sundays in almost every family. It can be done in different ways.

Classic Edition

In fact, Serbian koch is an ordinary mannik, which has been familiar to many since childhood. Preparation of such a product usually takes very little time. The only difference is that after baking with the Serbs it is customary to pour such a pie with milk, and then for a long time to keep it in the refrigerator. The result is a delicate, juicy and delicious dessert. In order to prepare Serbian koch, the following main components will be needed:

  • 6 eggs;
  • 225 grams of sugar (including 75 grams for pouring);
  • 70 grams of flour and semolina;
  • Half a teaspoon of vanilla sugar;
  • One and a half teaspoons of baking powder;
  • 400 milliliters of milk.

This dessert is prepared as follows:

  1. The yolks must first be separated from proteins.
  2. Mix the dry ingredients (flour, baking powder and mango).
  3. Rub the yolks with sugar.
  4. Proteins separately turn with a corolla into a stable foam.
  5. Combine both masses and mix them thoroughly.
  6. Prepare the dough, in parts introducing dry ingredients.
  7. The form is processed from the inside with butter, and then lightly sprinkled with semolina.
  8. Heat the oven to 180 degrees.
  9. Transfer the dough to the mold and bake for 45 minutes.
  10. Milk in the saucepan bring to a boil, and then dissolve in it plain and vanilla sugar.
  11. Soak this mixture with a warm pie and put it in the refrigerator.

After 3 hours, the dessert will be completely ready. To the table it is usually served with a fragrant hot tea.

Koh with berries

In the summer, when the season of berries is coming, I want to cook all kinds of desserts with them. And Serbian koch is also no exception. In this case, to the standard set of products, you just need to add a glass of any berries. The remaining ingredients remain the same. To work, as usual, you need: a deep bowl, a mixer and a rectangular baking dish. The semi-finished product is prepared in the usual way. And after the dough is in shape, on top of it you just need to pour out the washed and dried berries. During baking, they can start the juice. This is very good, as the fresh flesh results in an additional pronounced flavor of berries, which perfectly matches with a delicate creamy aroma. Next, the usual procedures for pouring, impregnating and cooling. To the table, such a dessert can be served in a bowl along with pieces of fresh berries or fruits. It will be even tastier if you pour them some sweet syrup.

Recipe for Multivariate

How else can you cook Serbian koch? A recipe with a multivark is also available. True, this work takes a little longer. But the device guarantees a good result and excludes any possibility of error. Although, in fact, the procedure itself remains the same. You will need a similar set of products:

For the test: 100 grams of sugar, 6 eggs, a teaspoon of baking powder, as well as 4 tablespoons of flour and manga.

For pouring: for 450 milliliters of milk 1 gram of vanillin and 75 grams of sugar.

Process technology:

  1. First, the flour must be mixed with a mango and baking powder.
  2. Then the egg whites should be beaten in a stable foam with a mixer.
  3. Continuing mixing, add yolks one by one. The volume of the mixture should be doubled.
  4. In the prepared mass, gradually introduce dry ingredients. In this case, stirring is best done with a regular spoon. We must act carefully so that the squirrels do not settle.
  5. Transfer the finished dough to the inside of the multi-cup bowl and install the "Bake" program. After 65 minutes, the mannik will be ready. The owner will be notified of this by the timer signal.
  6. Prepare the fill. To do this, the remaining ingredients must be dissolved in hot milk.
  7. With the resulting syrup pour the cake, without taking it out of the bowl. As soon as all the moisture is absorbed, it will have to be removed and put in a refrigerator for a couple of hours.

A slice of tender dessert with a rich creamy aroma and a pleasant tender taste will be a good addition for Sunday tea.

Process Details

For those who will be baking for the first time, you need to know exactly how to prepare Serbian koch. Step-by-step recipe in this case will be a good assistant in the work. Having all the necessary products available, you can proceed with the basic procedure.

All actions can be divided into several steps:

  1. Smash the eggs, while separating the yolks from the proteins. It must be done very carefully.
  2. Beat with a usual mixer in a dense, firm foam.
  3. Continuing the process, gradually introduce sugar.
  4. Alternately, fall asleep baking powder, mango and flour. Stirring at this stage should be done with a spoon, moving from the edge of the dishes to the middle.
  5. Form the oil from the inside, and then sprinkle it with flour (or a manga).
  6. Bake in the oven for 25 minutes. Ready to check the pie with a toothpick or any thin wooden stick, piercing it with crumb until the very bottom of the mold.
  7. While the koh cools, you can fill. To do this, you first have to warm (not boil) milk in a sauté pan, and then gradually add sugar and vanillin to it.
  8. Partially cool the cake cut into pieces.
  9. Pour it with sweet milk, without taking it out of the mold, and then put it for a few hours in the refrigerator.

Finished goat is served to the table in dessert plates for 1-2 pieces.
