Technology of preparation

Cowberry sauce for meat

Main Ingredients :

  • Berries of a cowberry (glass);
  • honey;
  • Meat broth;
  • Potato starch ;
  • Wine vinegar (1/2 tbsp.).

Technology of preparation

Pound the berries to a mashed state. Use a strainer or blender. Then add honey (if not, replace with normal sugar). In the cranberry purée pour in a portion of the meat broth. Cranberry mass pour into a saucepan and add the wine vinegar. Put it on the stove. When everything boils, pour in the starch dissolved in the broth, Continue on to cook the sauce. Cowberry juice can be stored for about a year at room temperature. When serving, you can add honey or sugar to the drink.

Cowberry can also be dried for the winter. For this, browse the berries, rinse and dry. Then place on a baking sheet and put in a hot oven. Dried berries are usually kept in clay jars. Such cranberries can be crushed in a coffee grinder. The resulting powder is stored for more than five years in cans from tea or coffee.
