How to build a foundation, saving a budget

Any construction begins with the question: "How to build a foundation?". This is the foundation of the building, and you need to take it very responsibly. If the foundation is not executed correctly, it can lead to very disastrous consequences and additional costs. Sometimes its repair will cost much more than erecting a new one.

The type of foundation directly depends on what exactly you are going to build. If the plans for the construction of a house with a basement floor, you will have to make a complex and expensive construction. For a small country house you can do with a columnar foundation, which does not require large expenditures.

First, let's look briefly at what it is, what type of structure is applicable and how to build a foundation.

It is suitable for building low-rise buildings of brick or wood. The column foundation for the frame house, as is clear from the name, consists of pillars and grillage, located on them. And grillage is on weight, that is, leaning on pillars, it does not touch the surface of the earth. This avoids deformation during seasonal soil shifts. This is the ideal foundation for giving. How to build a foundation on your own and what is required for this

The initial stage will be the layout of the future structure. To do this, you can go the traditional way and outline the contour of string, stretched between pegs driven into the ground. And you can sprinkle it with sand or sawdust, which will further facilitate your work.

Then mark the place for the posts. For this, many factors are taken into account, but for a basement under a wooden or frame house, the distance between poles should not be more than two meters, and for a brick one - not more than one and a half meters.

Having planned the poles, start drilling wells. The depth of each should be below the ground freezing point by about thirty to forty centimeters. This is very important, so be sure to find out the depth of freezing for your region.

Half the work is done. Now, in each well, you need to insert three pieces of reinforcement so that it protrudes above the ground by twenty centimeters. Over each hole make a small formwork at least fifteen centimeters high. Everything, you can pour concrete.

Once the poles are frozen, sand should be sandwiched between them at the same level as their site. Now you start to make the formwork under grillage. Its height should be no less than forty, and width - thirty centimeters. The upper edge of the formwork should be in the same level. It is put on the poured sand, inside it you knit the frame from the armature.

It remains to fill the formwork with concrete. After it has solidified, the formwork is dismantled and you get a ready grillage, most importantly, do not forget to remove the sand from under it so that it rests only on the poles and does not touch the ground anywhere.

So we found out how to build the foundation yourself. As you probably realized, this is a fairly economical option. It is not required to involve construction equipment, specialists. Everything can be done on their own.
