How to brew stewed fruit correctly

To date, great popularity among cooling beverages has acquired compote. It can be made from dried fruits (they include apples, raisins, apricots, pears and plums), fresh berries and fruits or their mixture, as well as vegetables such as rhubarb, carrots, pumpkins. But how to brew compote so that the ingredients used do not lose their appearance and taste? To do this, they are pre-cooked in syrup. And that the drink had a refined aroma and taste, it is added with spices, honey, zest, or red wine. Before serving, it is cooled, and the berries are transferred into small vases.

Consider how to brew compote.

1. Drink from dried fruits.

Ingredients: two liters of water, one glass of sugar, three hundred grams of dried fruit.

The drying is washed, put in dishes, filled with water and allowed to stand for fifteen minutes. Meanwhile, pour clean water into a saucepan and boil, then add dried fruits and cook for twenty minutes. Ten minutes before the end of cooking, sugar is put to taste and mixed well. The finished compote is insisted in a sealed container for several hours, after which it is served to the table.

2. Strawberry compote.

Ingredients: 500 g strawberries, 50 grams of sugar, two glasses of water, liqueur or wine to taste.

The berries are rinsed with hot water and put into glasses. Then prepare the syrup. To do this, add sugar to the water and boil for five minutes, add the liqueur to taste. Finished the syrup pour the strawberries and let them stand for fifteen minutes, after which they serve.

3. Plum compote.

Ingredients: two hundred grams of plums, fifty grams of sugar, three hundred grams of apples, two glasses of water.

The ripe plum is separated from the stones, which are poured into water, boiled, and the formed jug is poured into a saucepan. In it add sugar, peeled and chopped apples and cook until they become soft. Then put the prepared plum, bring to a boil, cool and pour into glasses or high wine glasses.

4. How to cook compote of dried apricots and raisins.

Ingredients: fifty grams of dried apricots, fifty grams of raisins, one hundred grams of prunes, half a cup of sugar, three glasses of water.

The fruit is washed with warm water. In the dishes pour sugar, pour it with water and cook for several minutes. Then put the prunes in the syrup and boil it for fifteen minutes, then add the raisins and dried apricots and continue to cook for another five minutes. The compote is served chilled.

5. Orange drink.

Ingredients: fifty grams of ripe oranges, thirty grams of sugar, one hundred and fifty grams of water.

Oranges are washed, cleaned from the skin and white film, which contains bitterness, cut and placed in a bowl. In the water put the sugar and boil for fifteen minutes, add the zest, which is pre-poured hot water and boiled. When the syrup cools down, you can add a little wine or liqueur to it, pour oranges and boil for a few minutes, then cool. Serve in wine glasses adorned with orange slices.

Thus, the question of how to brew compote is not difficult, since this process does not take much time and effort. It is enough just to pick up berries, fruits or vegetables.
