Kissel from cherry: cooking recipes

In Russia, the jelly was cooked over a thousand years ago. True, then for this purpose, mainly grain or flour was used. Only after several centuries this drink became the same as it is used to see today. The product was prepared from berries and fruits, which made it even more tasty and fragrant. A simple option

It is easiest to make a jelly from a cherry on the basis of juice. This greatly simplifies the process and makes it less time consuming. To work, the following ingredients will be needed: per liter of concentrated cherry juice 100-120 grams of sugar and a couple tablespoons of potato starch.

The process is carried out in three stages:

  1. First, the juice should be poured into a saucepan and brought to a boil on fire.
  2. Separately, in a conventional glass, dilute the starch with warm water. The mixture should not have lumps, since afterwards they can no longer dissolve.
  3. Gently in a thin trickle, add the formula to the boiling juice and, after stirring for 3-4 minutes, wait for the product to thicken. Do not cook longer. Otherwise, on the contrary, it will become liquid.

You can consume this jelly from cherries both in cold and hot. In both cases, the taste of the drink will be equally pleasant: a combination of unique aroma and light natural acidity. Such a product is sure to please anyone who wants to try it.

Many housewives do not even suspect that the cherry jelly is not just a pleasant soft drink. Along with this, it has properties that are extremely useful for the human body:

In this case, you must perform the following actions:

  1. Rinse the berries with cold water and cook until they are properly softened.
  2. Blend the mixture, wringing it through the cheesecloth.
  3. In 200 milliliters of water, dilute the potato starch, and then pour it into a boiling mixture with a thin trickle.

Now the product should only be poured into glasses and put on a table for cooling. To make on the basis of berries in your own juice a kissel from cherry, the recipe is not necessary to completely change. From it only you need to exclude sugar. Sweet pouring will be quite enough. In principle, this can already be determined at the very first stage and, if necessary, bring the concentration to the desired value.

Product Ratio

According to the technology it is necessary to prepare a kissel from cherry with starch. This component is no less important than the berries themselves. After all, it is with his help that you can achieve the desired consistency of the finished product. A good landlady must necessarily know the generally accepted proportions, so as not to spoil the prepared drink.

In this case, the amount of starch is taken as 1 liter of water or another liquid:

  • For obtaining a drinking product - 1 tablespoon (can be with a slide);
  • For liquid jelly of medium consistency - 2 spoons;
  • For a semi-heavy drink - 3 tablespoons;
  • For a very thick product - 4 tablespoons;
  • For jelly, which is more like jelly, - 5 spoonfuls.

Knowing these proportions, you can determine in advance how much fruit decoction is required and how much water it takes to dissolve the starch. In addition, it must be remembered that after the two solutions are combined, the color of the finished product also changes. It becomes more succulent and pronounced.

For the little ones

Quite good jasmine is made from cherry frozen. It can even be prepared for small children in the second year of life. To prepare the drink you need the following components: a glass of cherry berries frozen with 0.5 liters of water, as well as a tablespoon of sugar and starch.

Here the cooking process must be conducted somewhat differently:

  1. First you need to boil the water, and then pour in it berries and sugar, then wait for just 5 minutes.
  2. Starch shake well with water. After this, it must be slowly poured into boiling mass.
  3. Do not stop stirring, wait until the product finally thickens.
  4. Cool down the drink.

Now it can be poured into a cup and given to a child.

Perfect option

But it's best to cook the jelly from the fresh cherry. And berries from a drink can not be cleaned. Everything is done very simply. For work it will be required: for a glass of ripe cherries 2 tablespoons of sugar, 0.5 liters of water and 1.5 tablespoons of starch.

Sequencing:

  1. The first thing to do is to rinse the berries, and then remove the bones from them. If you do not, the product will have a peculiar taste.
  2. Pour cold water into a saucepan and put it on a stove.
  3. Starch dilute with water to a uniform state (without lumps).
  4. In boiling water, fill in sugar and put the prepared berries.
  5. Give the products to cook for just 3 minutes.
  6. Constantly stirring the food, slowly introduce dissolved starch.
  7. Wait until the kissel normally thickens, and turn off the fire.

After cooling, the drink can be poured into cups or glasses and drunk with pleasure. Such a product will have a pleasant enveloping taste, and the addition of berries will turn it into a real dessert.
