Funny shitsu - a dog from Tibet

This breed is very ancient. Homeland shih-tzu is considered Tibet. In 1643, the Dalai Lama gave the Emperor's family two such dogs. After that they became forbidden. Such dogs lived only in the imperial family. From some documents it became known that the breed of Shizu dogs came from Byzantium in the beginning of the eighth century. From this we conclude that the dogs have European roots.

Origin of the breed

Shitsu is a dog that has been produced by crossing two breeds: Lhasa Aloha and Pekingese. There are other hypotheses for the appearance of these lovely creatures, but they are not yet confirmed. In 1854 the dog was recognized by the FCI, and in 1869 it was admitted to the exhibitions.

Peculiarities of the breed and character

Shitsu - the dog is very beautiful and smart. Sometimes there is a feeling that she herself understands its uniqueness. A shih-tzu dog is very proud and independent. Weight - about 5-7 kg, and the height at the withers - no more than 28 cm (minimum - 20 cm). Duration of life - 15 years. The head of these dogs is round, wide. The coat is thick and long. The muzzle is square, short, without wrinkles, with widely separated eyes. Nostrils black well developed, nostrils large. The wool of such dogs is long, dense, with a well-developed undercoat. There are different colors. Charming and cheerful shih-tzu are very attached to people, get on well with other representatives of the fauna.

Character

Shitsu - a dog of decorative appearance, but in character is completely different. It can be called a companion with an unusual temper. She loves everyone without singling out her master.
