How to bake a potato in the oven

It should be noted that, in spite of the fact that the potato was imported to Russia relatively recently, it has already been considered a major Russian product for a long time. You can cook it in different ways: boil, fry, add to soups, or you can bake potatoes in the oven, alone or with the addition of other ingredients. In any case, it does not require much effort, and the dish will not only be tasty, but also useful, since cooking in this way preserves a large number of substances necessary for the body.

In order to bake potatoes in the oven, you will need a root vegetable, spices, butter, greens. There are several recipes, perhaps one of the simplest will be the following. Potatoes are cleaned and cut into slices. Butter is mixed with finely chopped herbs, laid out on food film and placed for a while in the freezer. The circles of potatoes are salted, spices are added, everything is thoroughly mixed to make the salt with spices evenly distributed. Potatoes are carefully laid out in a prepared form or on a baking tray. From above, it is covered with grated grated oil. The dish is put in the oven until cooked. The cooking time depends on the characteristics of the oven, but, more often, it takes no more than 40 minutes.

You can bake potatoes in the oven without cleaning it from the peel. In this case, it is better to use foil. It is better to take young tubers, the skin of which is still rather tender. Pre-potatoes are thoroughly washed and dried on a paper towel. After that, it is smeared with a mixture that includes mayonnaise, greens, chopped garlic, spices. In the case where the potatoes are small in size, it is simply laid out on a baking tray, where it is cooked for an hour at a low temperature. If the tubers are larger than the average size, then to better their roasting, it is better to wrap each of them in foil, making a small incision from above.

On how to bake potatoes in the oven with meat, it is worth talking separately. Here you can take almost any kind of meat, but the most common options are pork and chicken fillet. Potatoes are best cut into slices or slabs. Also in this dish you can add onion, cut into half rings. First, a potato is placed on the greased baking sheet, on which the onion will be placed. Prepared and cut into small pieces of meat is laid by the top layer, so that during cooking fat from it flows down onto the vegetables. Each layer is slightly salted, spices are added. Before you bake a potato with meat in the oven, you can pour it with creamy mayonnaise sauce.

There is also a way to bake potatoes in the oven, stuffing it with some filling. For this, the potatoes are washed together with the peel and boiled for a while until half ready. It is recommended to pierce it in several places so that it does not fall apart during cooking. After that, the tubers are taken, cut in half, the filling is put in the middle, covered with a cut piece and put in a well-heated oven for 20-30 minutes. From above it is necessary to grease the dish with a small amount of butter. For the filling are used almost any products, minced meat, mushrooms, seafood, vegetables. For example, if a mushroom filling is chosen, finely chopped and lightly fried mushrooms are combined with grated cheese, chopped herbs. You can add a small amount of mayonnaise. In order to prepare stuffed potatoes, it is better to choose tubers larger in size.

Depending on the products used, potatoes baked in the oven can be either an excellent vegetable garnish or an independent second course. In any case, he can well diversify the daily diet.
