Let's take a closer look at how to create a virtual Blu-ray drive (or a CD / DVD drive). Go to the "Options" menu, which is located in the program toolbar. We are looking for the item "Settings". Selecting it, we get the opportunity to set the required number of devices. Please note: in the free version of the application you can set a maximum of 8 disks. Do you want more? Then you have to buy the full version of the program. So, by selecting the number of drives you need, click on the "OK" button. All! You have created a virtual drive, which is visible from the standard Windows Explorer.

In some versions of the program there is one small bug. The fact is that when choosing an odd number of disks the program for some reason can not create them. For example, it will easily create 4 disks, and creating a seventh virtual drive, it can "stumble".

By the way, why else would they need an average user? To begin with, using a virtual disk, you can avoid damaging your physical media. In simple terms, it's better to create an image of your licensed copy of the game and run it from a virtual disk. So, the real carrier will be less prone to abrasion and scratches.

In addition, a virtual drive for Windows 7 can in some cases be used to create an avi video file from a virtual DVD image. In this case, the process will go much faster, because the speed of the virtual disk is many times higher than the speed of the physical disk!
