The group "Tokyo Hotel" - these guys are "born" from 2007, when crowds of teenage girls went crazy for emo battles and youth rock music. At least, this is how they remembered a lot, and anyone who was born in the 90s will say this, but now he remembers his rebellious youth with a laugh. But in the yard is already 2015, and the group "Tokyo Hotel", it seems, is not going to finish his career at all. The guys grew up and changed their style, and their songs acquired a more electronic sound. Is it good? To judge the fans. Well, we will remember their history, what they were and what they became.

Creating a group

For the first time the group "Tokyo Hotel" announced itself twelve years ago, in the distant 2003, having signed a contract with the Hamburg branch of Universal Music under the auspices of its new producer - Peter Hoffman.

Group members

In the group "Tokyo Hotel" four people, two of whom are twins Bill and Tom Kaulitz (frontman and guitarist respectively), engaged in a musical career at the age of nine.

2001 was very significant for the brothers. They performed in Magdeburg and met with the future second half of the band - a drummer and bass player, Gustav Shafer and George Listing, almost the same age as the talented twins. The latter, by the way, is the oldest of the group - he was born in 1987. Shafer is one year younger than him (1988), and twins were born in 1989, September 1, and Tom is only ten minutes older than Bill.

These four guys are the members of the group "Tokyo Hotel". The year 2015 did not affect him at all - he is still the same. But the musicians themselves changed - their appearance, music and style. But all in order.

2005: the beginning of a career

In 2005, no one else knew the group "Tokyo Hotel". Her biography only begins in this period. For two years of existence, under the strict supervision of Peter Hoffman, the guys recorded a whole album (the soloist Bill took active part in writing the songs).

But before the group "threw the bait", releasing the single Durch den Monsun and a video clip for him. The arrow hit the target, and also brought the group awards Echo and 1Live and Comet. It was followed by a video clip Schrei ("Scream"), which took first place in the European charts.

The release of Schrei's debut album only strengthened the success and brought "Tokyo Hotel" the expected glory.

2006: second album and first concert

2006 was pleased fans of the new emo-rock band, just starting, because at this time there was another video clip "Tokyo Hotel", this time for the song Rette Mich.

The composition was not new, but rather modified from the first album: the soloist of the group "Tokyo Hotel" experienced a break in the voice, in addition, the song appeared some instrumental differences.

The second album was also not absolutely fresh: it contained three new songs and some re-recorded old ones. It was released in March under the name Schrei: So Laut Du Kannst. To the original edition also released the single Der letzte Tag.

But much more significant event was the first concert of guys outside the homeland: November 18, the group "Tokyo Hotel" (photo is in the article) visited Moscow. Newcomers to the rock scene took more than warm. For two years the musicians conquered not only German listeners.

2007: sweet fruits of glory

In February 2007, the group "Tokyo Hotel" released the album Zimmer 483 ("Room 483"), which makes musicians even more popular. In April, the children began a tour of Europe - 483 Tour. They also once again pay a visit to Moscow, and then come with a concert in St. Petersburg. Scream (English version of Schrei) comes out in early summer.

In November the guys finish their more than successful tour in Germany.

2008: the first obstacles

The year 2008 brought news that clouded the mood of fans: because of Bill's illness, the band stopped concerts. The frontman of "Tokyo Hotel" picked up laryngitis (inflammation of the larynx). Fortunately, everything worked out, and the March operation on the vocal cords solved all the problems. The fans rejoiced and expected new achievements.

2009: Triumph

This year was the year of release of the new album - Humanoid. No wonder the fans were waiting for a new offspring of their favorites. In November, the creativity of "Tokyo Hotel" was once again officially celebrated: at the MTV Europe Music Awards, the musicians won the "Best Group" nomination. This award has not yet been received by any German group.

2010: the first world tour

Introducing the album in 2010, the group goes on a world tour Welcome to Humanoid City. The tour was even bigger than the previous one. "Tokyo Hotel" visited the countries of Asia. In addition, DSquared specially prepared children for him author's costumes.

2011-th: a sudden lull

"Tokyo Hotel" continues to conquer the horizons and conquer the peaks, previously inaccessible to any German artist, but they seem to be tired. The MUZ-TV Award of this year chose the group as a headliner, because the guys once again pleased Moscow with their visit.

But from this time until 2014, the group had a lull.

2014-th: return to service

In 2014, "Tokyo Hotel" returned with a new video for the song Love Who Loves You Back. The style of the musicians has changed noticeably. From emo-rock the performers switched to pop-rock with electronic sound. However, the prerequisites for this were heard even in the single Automatic, released in 2011.

Retreat, held by the brothers in Los Angeles, was not in vain, and in 2014 came out and their new album - Kings of Suburbia.

Nowadays

In the outgoing year, the guys had another world tour. Within the framework of this tour, "Tokyo Hotel" visited Moscow, St. Petersburg, which they liked, and also visited Kiev.

The evolution of style

During his career, "Tokyo Hotel" evolved from boy rockers to shocking young performers. This is most evident in Bill Kaulitz. However, his brother Tom also changed a little. But to consider in detail the evolution of the style of Bill, who for the most part of his career was completely confused with the girl model, is still more interesting.

In 2005, the younger Kaulitz was sixteen, and he was already a dyed brunette with a piercing in his eyebrow and penciled eyes. The musical style of the band is also indicative - a real emo rock with their unforgettable Schrei. 2006 did not greatly change the frontman, except that the hair has grown a little.

2006-2007 - Bill is still dark, but in the head of his hair he glimpses a white highlight.

In 2009, Bill decides to make dreadlocks, like his brother, but still black. From the chains and untied rock, the soloist "Tokyo Hotel" goes to the glam: tight things, skin and furs (artificial, the Kaulitz brothers do not recognize the killing of animals).

In 2010, the appearance of androgyny becomes fashionable. Bill cuts and puts the hair in an unimaginable style, wears hats and participates in the model shows of the DSquared already mentioned here. He wears platforms and heels and feels quite comfortable in such an image.

2012-2015 - years of dramatic change in the image: a short haircut, a blond and a beard, and besides, "no" to cosmetics and heels. They are replaced by sports shoes. The transition to this style makes Bill more like his brother. Twins had not been so similar before before with the explicitly feminine way of younger and hip-hop clothing of older Tom.

And what about the rest?

Tom Kaulitz, for a long time not parted with dreadlocks, sweatshirts and pants with "motley", cut his hair, but got a beard. Now he's dark.

Georg Listing, whose head of hair would have envied even a girl, also decided to part with it. In addition, once a full bass player took care of himself, lost weight and pumped up. Georg looks much older and more manly.

And only Gustav Shefer for years will not care: he is the former, except that with a small beard, not greatly changing its appearance. However, there are some changes in him, but not in the field of style. The drummer "Tokyo Hotel" found his love and got married.

The rest of the group's members on the love front are not so stable: no permanent bass player, guitarist, or soloist of the Tokyo Hotel group found a permanent relationship. The personal life of the guys, in principle, is hidden from the camera's sight, although Bill was recently seen with Lisa Vanderpump. But is there something between the 25-year-old Kaulitz and 54-year-old Lisa, the paparazzi can only guess.

"Tokio Hotel": reviews of the group

Opinions about the "Tokyo Hotel" are divided into two completely opposite camps. This article looked at the musicians, rather, from the point of view of their fans: indeed, in 2005-2007. They acquired their innumerable numbers (especially from the females of adolescence). As well as haters. The object of ridicule "children's" collective was done by metalworkers, fans of more "hard" music. In 2006, the men's magazine FHM even included Bill Kaulitz in the list of the most asexual famous women.

On the "Tokyo Hotel" was done countless parodies: the guys in the group were quite different from everyone else in order to be a fertile ground for bullying. But somehow they were discussed, which speaks of their popularity.

The band's career is not over yet. At rest, neither the Kaulittians nor their permanent bassist and drummer are going to.
