Training fights. Sensations of the future mother

Pregnancy is an exciting period of waiting for some incredible miracle. But the future mother has many reasons for concern and anxiety. Among these can be called the fear of "missing" the beginning of childbirth. Very often, ladies in an interesting position rush to the hospital, as soon as they feel the pulling pains in the lower abdomen, considering them the beginning of birth pains. However, not always such a symptom indicates the imminent birth of a baby. Often these are just training fights. Feelings in this case are very similar to those experienced by the woman in labor during the present, but the pain is less intense. Otherwise, this process is called Braxton-Hicks contractions.

The closer the birth, the more frightening it becomes to become pregnant, the stronger is its fear of the impending pain. Give some idea of what lies ahead, to help prepare a little can be training bouts. Feelings during them depend on the pain threshold of a woman. So, someone can not feel them at all, but for someone they become a real test. But as a result, the future mother will be able to learn how to breathe properly to control pain, and this will be necessary during childbirth.

What are these false struggles? These are short-term contractions of the muscles of the uterus. Thanks to them, the cervix becomes shorter and softer, which subsequently facilitates the process of delivery.

What does a woman feel when training fights begin ? Feelings are similar to premenstrual pain. In this case, they can be not only in the lower abdomen, but also in the lower back. At this moment, the expectant mother feels that her stomach is stony, becomes hard. This is due to the strain of the muscles of the uterus.

There are cases when women are worried about the question: "What do these pains mean, are they training fights or tone?" It is necessary to distinguish these two phenomena. After all, hypertension of the uterus - this phenomenon is quite frequent, and as a result, the threat of miscarriage increases. In this case, the uterus is constantly in tension for some time, which makes it difficult for oxygen to reach the fetus. In contrast to hypertension, the preparatory contractions are of a short-term nature, that is, the muscles do not strain for more than 2 minutes. In addition, they usually begin after the 20th week of pregnancy, while hypertension can be diagnosed in early periods as well.

The closer the birth, the more often the uterus begins to "train", the more clearly there are the training fights. At week 34, for example, they can be confused with the onset of labor. After all, at this time the baby may already be born.

Therefore, future mothers need to distinguish birth and training fights. Sensations in both cases are similar, but there are some differences. First, as already mentioned above, during the "training" the pain is much less and, unlike the birth, does not increase. Secondly, Braxton-Hicks contractions are irregular, while at birth there is a periodicity. In addition, the pain during training fights gradually pass. To do this, it is sufficient to change the type of activity: to walk a bit, change the position of the body, lie down. When starting the same birth, such manipulations will not help. In this case it's time to go to the hospital.
