Group "Metro": a new generation of rock musicians

Rock music has always occupied a special place in the domestic show business. More precisely, she was always opposed to him. Therefore, today they say more and more often that rock in Russia is slowly dying, and there is no worthy replacement for old rockers. Of course, when playing underground, it's harder to find your audience. But the "Metro" group was able to do this without changing themselves and themselves. Already today they are spoken of as a new generation of rock music in Russia.

How it all began?

Alexander Staroverov has been the founder and the permanent leader of the group for 15 years already. A native of the Volga city of Saratov, he at first did not think about the professional activity of the musician. On the advice of his parents, he went to receive a "real" profession of a lawyer. All this time he constantly took part in various musical events. By the end of her studies at the university it became obvious that the music had completely absorbed Alexander. So, in 2003 appeared his permanent team - the group "Metro".

For almost 15 years of its existence, the composition of the rock band has changed many times. Today it's Alexander Staroverov (vocals, guitar), Alexei Ulyankin (guitar), Artem Latukhin (bass guitar), Alan Aslamazov (keyboards), Artem Zemskov (drums). In addition, Ilya Doroshin (bass guitar), Ilya Likhachev (keyboards), Pyotr Tikhonov (trumpet) sometimes join the guys on performances and tours.

A little about the composition

Of course, the face and voice of the team is Alexander Staroverov. But without his team, as he himself admits, it is unlikely that he managed to achieve the desired success. So, Alexey Latukhin is the co-author of many songs and arrangements. Cheerful and responsive, the guitarist of the band is the real soul of the company. He, like no other, manages to feel the mood of the public.

Another guitarist, Alexei Ulyankin, does not represent his life without a guitar. As he himself claims, he was born a musician. At the age of 8 he performed on stage and collected ovations. What he does with the guitar and bass guitar, bewitch. The rock group "Metro" without Aleksey would be completely different. The guitarist plays with pleasure for his listeners and constantly improves his skills.

But the real purchase for the group was the appearance of a professional in the team. It's about Alan Aslamazov. He has been engaged in music since he was 5 and always connected his future life only with her. He studied at the music school and conservatory. He participated and toured with many successful collectives, including many years worked in the theater of Stas Namin.

And, of course, it's hard to imagine that the "Metro" band performed without a drummer. Artem Zemskov is the youngest member of the collective (he was born in 1994). However, he is very ambitious and talented. Alexei came from a small city of Balakovo first to Saratov, and then to Moscow. He joined the group only in July 2015. During this time, not only perfectly joined the team, but also enriched the group's repertoire with their arrangements of old and new compositions.

Songs of the group "Metro"

The band started its activity, like many national bands, with high-quality covers of famous compositions. Today they play at corporate parties and other events, where there are various programs with musical inclusions. Disco 80's, foreign and domestic hits of past years - there is no such genre that would not be able to the musicians of this collective.

In addition to cover versions, the group "Metro" successfully tours with its own program. For today, the musicians released 2 studio albums ("Moving fast" in 2013 and "Paint" in 2015) and preparing the release of the third. The song "Telephone" from the second album entered the rotation of many Russian radio stations and in the summer of 2015 it sounded, as they say, from every iron.

In addition, Alexander Starover's songs have more than once become soundtracks for films and serials. The most famous are "Thin Ice" from the film "Kisses Bridge" co-authored with A. Gorbunov and "Airplane" from the TV movie "Beware, the entrance is allowed!". For these and other works in 2015, Alexander Staroverov became a laureate of the contest "KinoSnya".

Unfortunately, the "Metro" group gives concerts infrequently. Most of their performances are in clubs and other similar institutions. This is understandable. A team playing intelligent rock is unlikely to collect stadiums. Their music is suggestive and requires thoughtfulness. Those who were at their speeches, unconditionally become their fans. It's not for nothing that the Metro team, starting from 2013, constantly becomes a laureate of the "Success of the Year" award.
