"Ginezol 7"

"Ginezol 7" is a gynecological drug for topical application with antifungal action. The product is available in the form of a white vaginal cream . There are also "Ginezol 7" candles. The main active substance of the drug is miconazole nitrate, and auxiliary ones are benzoic acid, hydroxyanisole butylate, mineral oil, purified water, as well as pegoxol-7-stearite and peglikol-5-oleate. The preparation is produced in plastic tubes packed in cardboard packing with the applicator in the kit.

Ginezole 7: Action and pharmacokinetics

The active substance has an antifungal action against a number of yeasts, dermatophytes and other fungi in combination with an antibacterial effect on gram-positive bacteria. Miconazole is able to suppress the biological synthesis of ergosterol in fungi and change the composition of lipid components in the membrane, which in turn causes necrosis of fungal cells. The drug quickly eliminates itching, which can accompany the infection, but it does not affect the acid balance of the vagina and its microflora.

After the administration of the drug "Ginezol 7", an active suspension is released. After applying the cream intravaginally, systemic absorption is limited. Eight hours after the application of the drug miconazole remains in the vagina, but it is not found in the urine or in the plasma.

Ginezol 7: instructions for use

The cream should be applied to the mucous membranes of the genital organs (external) or injected with a special applicator overnight for 7 days.

Avoid contact with latex products (condoms and contraceptive diaphragms), as it can damage rubber.

The drug is prescribed for the treatment of vulvovaginal candidiasis, as well as some secondary infections caused by gram-positive microorganisms.

"Ginezol 7" is not used for increased individual sensitivity to the components and substances of the drug, in children under the age of twelve, in the first trimester of pregnancy. During lactation, the issue of drug treatment is decided individually and, as a rule, entails the cessation of breastfeeding. It is used with caution in diabetes mellitus, impaired microcirculation, in the second and third trimester of pregnancy.

The drug may cause some side effects, but they are very rare and weakly expressed. Perhaps the appearance of local irritation, itching, burning, especially at the very beginning of treatment with the drug "Ginezol 7". If you do everything according to the instructions, you can avoid their manifestation.

The cream is stored in a dry dark place, inaccessible to children, at a temperature of 15-30 degrees Celsius. The maximum shelf life is two years from the date of issue. At the end of the period indicated on the package, use is strictly prohibited.

In the case of side-effects and allergic reactions, treatment is suspended until the cause of their emergence is determined or ceases altogether. If necessary, the drug can be removed from the vagina by washing with boiled water. To prevent re-infection, it is necessary to comply with all hygiene rules. If the infection is detected in the sexual partner, he is also prescribed treatment.
